I am going to Thanksgiving in NYC and I want to bring some great off-the-shelf stuff from DC-VA-MD. What do I need to bring that NYC can't get on the regular? The extended family are not beer geeks, I just want to get them to try some great 'regular' brews.

I got some Bell's Two Hearted, what else? Help me, BA, you're my only hope.

Perhaps "Beer from DC that is NOT in NYC" should read "Beer available in DC that is NOT available in NYC"

Bells and Devil's Backbone come to mind.

Just moved from the DC area to NYC a few months ago...I'd suggest Bell's, Heavy Seas, DC Brau, Terrapin, Stillwater (aside from Table Beer and Stateside Saison), Madfox. Personally I miss Bell's, DC Brau, and Madfox the most.

Definitely DC Brau Corruption if you want another IPA. If not I'd go with one of the Bells Stouts or DC Brau Penn Quarter Porter.

As stated above, Bell's (two hearted, this one goes to 11 etc...) as well as DC Brau and Heavy Seas. Solid choices!

On my list of breweries I wish were in NYC, Bells and Boulevard are in my top 5. Bring them...and bring lots!

Not to high jack the thread, but does anyone know why Bell's doesn't ship to NY/NJ?
