My thoughts: assume the worst case scenario for the line, then you can only be pleasantly surprised if something different happens.

Picked up Ghost Ride last night. I'm trying a thing where if I buy a six/four pack of something I normally would like, I also have to buy something I normally wouldn't get. Have to say I really liked it. I'm finding new styles of beer I enjoy (sours, pilsners, saisons, and now kolsches). Turns out there are more good beers than just IPAs and barrel aged stouts.

Holy cow. Northeast Hero is a mess. The mouthfeel is A+++ but the aromas are green onion and Vicks vaporub. And somehow after 2 weeks its still got a ton of hop burn on it.

Say what now? Only took me a few days to cruise through the sixer I picked up at release and I definitely didn't have any onion/vicks/hop burn.

My experience was so vastly different I'm wondering if they've released multiple batches and there's been variance from one to the next?

I dunno about the Vicks part (that sounds awful), but I tend to like onion in my IPAs, and I know that's not a universal thing. So maybe this just has a divisive profile (I haven't tried it, sadly)?

I think you guys just discovered the next big avenue for beer evolution: Revolution and Vicks teaming up for a Cold and Cough Pilsner. Active ingredients from Vicks heal the sore throat symptoms while alcohol from Revolution heal the soul....

I'd buy it. Hell, I'd actively try to catch a cold.

I'm going to wait a week to open the next can. Friend was at Rev last night drinking it and said it was fine. So maybe my glass was weird? The can was weird? We'll see......

Drank my last 2017 Ryeway to Heaven last night. Holy shit was it magical. Remembered why I it's one of my favorites. A LOT sweeter than the 2018 version and had huge caramel notes and even some maple flavor at the end. If anyone has any left, I have one used kidney I'd be willing to trade for a can or two.

What year is the used kidney? How many miles are on it?

I like a little chive or leek flavors in some of my IPA's.

Original owner. It's an 87 but has been kept refrigerated since birth. Still functioning fine.

Refrigerated? Maybe these reptilian people conspiracy theories are true...

Sad I'll be in Kansas during Midlife Crisis, but I'll hope I can luck into a can here or there via friends or maybe on draft when I get back.

Revolution continuing to expand their top-tier barrel program is amazing to see, and @Veliksta1 is an absolute asset to our community, probably the best representation of any brewery in the Great Lakes forums. You're the man!

Because in Nebraska, no one can hear you scream...or is that outer space?
