I would definitely recommend coming back next weekend for the Crushin It release, as the 4th is right between the two weekends so we kinda had to plan two special weekends and spread the love around. Let's just say an eagle eyed observer might've noticed some of the barrels moving around the sour facility recently.

A couple updates: tried Crushin' It while I was there and picked up Refresh-Zing and Coastal Evacuation cans. Unfortunately, there were no Follow The Gull cans.

-Crushin' It is very good and super orangey.
-Refresh-Zing is good with heat that hits you at the end.
-Coastal Evacuation was canned on 6/24 and is incredible. Best CE I've had yet.

    Anniversary 8 is quite delicious.

Any distribution to any of the DE/MD beach towns?

They really do seem to have coastal evacuation dialed in just right. Better then I remember.

No, we just distribute in NJ and PA at the moment. Never know where the future takes us, but just here for now.

Appreciate the increased distribution “up” here in Union County. Happy for the chance to try more and more of your beers. So far so good!

I got there on Saturday late afternoon for a no shower happy hour after the beach. My notes.

Crushin It was good, but a bit too sweet for me. Anniversary and Tan Limes I thought were both delicious. Follow the Gull........well I still think it's their best beer so again it was awesome. And I thought I'd get sick of it, but I am not, so I'm still crushing the lager....still excellent.

Now onto cans. There is not a single retail location that has FTG in stock.....not even the brewery itself! Nooooooooo! @brianhink is there more in the tanks or on the line? Please say yes, I need more (down to my last 3 cans).

Also picked up more Lager, a few Concrete Ships, Tan Limes and Anniversary. Overall a nice haul but I really need more Follow the Gull to round out the purchase.

Don’t know where you are in relation to NJ but I’m still seeing Follow the Gull cans around.

So as much and as long as I’ve drank cape mays beers I’m embarrassed to say I had cape May ipa for the first time a few weeks ago, thoroughly enjoyed it. We’re lucky to have breweries like cape May that brew a lot of styles and all very well done. More traditional hops, hazy hops, lagers, shandy, random sticker can stuff, and the list goes on.

Down right near the brewery, lower Cape May County and Wildwood area. None at the brewery, none at any of the Joe Canals I've looked, none on the Wildwood island. Where are you?

Cape May IPA has gotten so much better over the years. It's really dialed in now and a go to of mine. Excellent everday IPA and a great flagship beer of theirs.

Well put @Kadonny and as soon as I need more hops I will probably be grabbing a six pack. I have come to love follow the gull so much so it’ll be between those two.

Sadly no, no more Gull in cans for this year. I'm incredibly saddened by this as well - it's hands down my favorite beer we make. I went into our brewtique on friday to grab some Gull and after looking puzzledly in the coolers for a few minutes one of the beertenders asked what I was looking for, and after I said Gull they said it had sold out earlier in the week. I felt so dejected and lost - didn't realize that it's time was ending. So I feel your pain on missing out on more Gull.
But glad you enjoyed the stop in overall and enjoyed the beers!

Keith, I agree with you here 100%. I thought the Cape May IPA of the past (e.g., 3+ years ago) was a solid beer but not something I would go out of my way to purchase. The contemporary Cape May IPA is significantly better IMO.

    Cheers!

@brianhink do you guys plan to distribute in all of PA or at least the eastern half in the future? Or will it be based off of how well sales do in the few PA counties your beer is in now?

In addition to the 5 Philly counties we've been in for a few years now, we just expanded into Lancaster, Berks, Lehigh, and Northampton counties. As of now that's all we have planned, but who knows what the future holds. We weren't necessarily looking into expanding the PA market, but our distributor Origlio asked if we'd be willing to expand into their Reading distributorship market, so of course we made that work.

I do have to say that Cape May has become one of the breweries where when I see a new beer in the store I don’t hesitate to buy it because I know it will be good.
