Champion brewing. Excellent Czech pils. Great rocky head retention/spotty lacing. Aromas and flavors of lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malts; with moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery hops. A bit of fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and light resins in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Perfectly clean lager flavors, no fruity/yeasty notes. Very flavorful/refreshing, not watery for 4.5%. Awesome clean pils malt showcase, with perfect Noble Saaz hop presence/balance. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp drying. Really impressive, spot on style. Glad I got the 6 pack. 3.98

Cerebral and Threes brewing collab on this Sight Unseen Export Lager. 7% and completely balanced for the size of this puppy. Clean, crisp, doughy, yeast-in-your-face in a good way with fantastic and delicate bread notes. It's a cracker. I sampled its little brother at the Cerebral tasting room last week but they only had this one in pint cans to go. So... there we are.
Not by any means a Lager-Hound but this one struck me as outstanding, as good as most things I had at Prost or Dovetail. Cheers!

Here's one for you. I bought a cool black and white checkered pattern shirt over the weekend (AKA; Vintage Vans / Jeff Spicoli)...



The young girl at the check-out register kept commenting on how "cool" the shirt was and I laughed and said, "Thanks, I thought so too, it's vintage Fast Times at Ridgemont High"! She stood there and looked at me like I had three heads. (!!! !!!)



... Man... that was an awkward moment when I said to myself... "Self ... you're an old turd" !!!!!

For the under 35 crowd to bring everyone up to speed ...

 

Aslin is in northern VA. Sadly I have never been there but 3 different BA folks have sent me some of their awesome stuff.
