Neapolitan style pizzas food focused and lagers beer focused. Next to Dry Hop location.

They also said beer is kinda the third priority there. First is the food, second is cocktails and third is beer. So, that pizza better be good!!!

I work pretty close to the upcoming Crushed by Giants location and love tacos and hazy IPAs, so I am really excited about that place and pretty sure I will be eating there often!

Little known secret: open those links in Chrome Incognito mode when you’ve hit that Tribune max monthly limit. Read all the articles you want!

Unfortunately I was in incognito at work, but also logged in to my home account, so that's actually where I got the message.

...And then I left work and hadn't thought to see if I'd fare differently outside of incog mode.

You can also Clear history & website data (browsing data) in Settings whenever you reach the limit to read as many articles as you want whether you’re in regular or private/incognito mode...

That I didn't think of. Thanks!

Side note: my brother studies at UNC, and Chapel Hill/Carrboro is one of my absolute favorite places to visit (and drink beer in).

From the FB page of Corridor:

    Details:
Help us close out Illinois Craft Beer Week with the release of Cosmic Juicebox. Starting at Noon 5/17 we will be releasing cans of Cosmic Juicebox on draft and 4-Packs. Limit (1) 4-Pack per customer, but all the Crowlers you can handle. As a special surprise we'll be tapping (1) 1/2bbl of Triple Dry Hopped Squeezit to enjoy after your Cosmic Juicebox purchase. Looking forward to hitting this up but aren’t the usual can releases at 11am when they open and not at noon?

Heynongman, if yr dropping in for that haze, don’t skip the middle brow collab coconut cherry berliner on tap. Biased bullshit aside, probably the best fruited Berliner ive ever had. Hope we make this again and can it because it’s lovely.

You’re welcome! I clear my browsing data all the time. E-commerce sites, travel sites for instance, have been known to tailor (ie increase) prices based on your website data, which logs previous purchases, etc. Also, I prefer keeping my data private in general.

Sweet man, Go Heels! I was there just before the whole ‘craft thing’ started, but North Carolina’s microbrew scene was great even before the craft boom. Top of the Hill & Carolina Brewery were most popular in Chapel Hill (I’m sure they still are). Top of the Hill was known for having the ‘best’ beer, but I went back after craft beer became popular (when I was more knowledgeable/experienced with craft beer), and it was pretty average. This was towards the beginning of craft becoming popular, so maybe they’ve made some strides since then. Not even sure if they had an American ipa yet (they had Ram’s Head english ipa which is one of their originals). Top of the Hill is a great restaurant & has an awesome atmosphere. Pretty much the first stop for any alumni coming back to visit (in addition to Patana Bob’s porch for day drinking haha).

On a Corridor note, I just tried Set Phasers to Stun, and really enjoyed it. In fact, I went to Forbidden Root’s hazy event last night, and this is just as good, if not better, than all the hazies I tried (which was most of them). Has a noticeable bitterness that I prefer in my hazies. It’s on point for sure.

4-pk of Cosmic Juicebox was a welcome surprise today.

One of my favorite hazies anywhere.

Wow this thread had fallen to page 3. That's a statement to the lack of hype recently around Corridor. Can't say I don't prefer it stay that way as it was relatively easy to get a seat.

Went to Corridor last Saturday and had Emperor Pulpatine and Menage a Mango. The Emperor Pulpatine wasn't my favorite. The aroma (tropical) and appearance (deep opaque orange) looked the part of what I'd come to expect of Corridor's DDH beers, but it was VERY green/grassy. Did not enjoy the taste much.

The Menage a Mango on the other hand had a good bit of mango but was light and mildly tart. Was great for a hot summer day and would order that one again. The color was great on it too, being quite bright yellow.

It's beautiful. Two weeks ago I called Corridor asking if there were any ounce limits in place for take out. The hostess was really confused by my question so I explained how last year during the summer they'd occasionally run nearly dry.

Nice for us nearby to see the hype chasers have moved onto stalking package stores for hazy cans.

Doesn't it seem like they haven't brewed any of their "classic" hazies in awhile? I certainly may have missed some when they were on tap, but it seems like we're due for some stuff like Squeezit, Van Hazen (edit: realize from above post that I apparently missed that one in June), Cosmic Juicebox, Juice Beyond, Mosaic Monsoon, etc.

@dubo09 - any word on when we can expect some of the greatest hits to return???

I don't think that's the case. Corridor stopped posting on here and on twitter focusing solely on instagram. They have enough people packing the place they stopped marketing on social media as much. If anyone has stopped hyping the place up it's Corridor. They used to put weekly updates on here, now it's one every few months.

It does seem they are putting out fewer hazies overall. I go there once or twice a week and more often than not there is just one hazy on tap vs. 2 or 3 at times in the past. That could be intentional or just timing ... but the place is always busy so it's clearly not hurting their business. I wish they'd always have 2 hazies - one regular and one double - since i think they do doubles better than anyone.

    Squeezit release today at 2pm.

    From their Facebook:

Surprise! We were not sure if we could pull it off this week, but the fermentation and dry hopping gods aligned for us to release Squeezit. 100 - 4 packs will be released starting at 2pm on Friday, 7/12. We'll also be tapping the batch for draft and Crowler/Growler sales. Come on down and enjoy the beautiful weather with us and our favorite DDH Double IPA, cheers.

The last batch of Squeezeit was probably the best Chicago IPA I've had the last couple of years. Insanely good.

We are still striving to put on at least two hazies at a time. Until last week that had been the case. We are also brewing some easier drinking selections for the hot weather, but Van Hazen is in the tanks. Also, Cosmic Juicebox, (another) Squeezit, Dueling Overalls, and some new Haze will be on in August.

Understood ... and I enjoy many of the non-hazies ... great to see Rapunzel back and i liked the new Tea Off Sour ... but it's a little disappointing to have almost a week go by with no hazy at all.
