What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #2456

Good day BAs! Well, yesterday's furniture move at my son's place went well - we got it done between "rain events" and only had to remove two doors and one part of one casing - now the dog owns a new love seat. Today is starting off with the possibility of some sun and dryness so maybe I can finish mowing the grass, after I remove the pontoons from my mower.

When going through my spreadsheets, I was puzzled not to find a previous incarnation of this, namely Miles Davis Bitches Brew, that my swiss-cheese-like memory said should have been there. Ah well, another branch of Reality's Tree dies and falls off.

 

This beer is quite sour. I suppose I was expecting it to be more like a milkshake, with the banana coconut cream pie flavoring. It is certainly delicious, but I started eating a bowl of cereal to balance the flavor.

 

Hopefully there was no fish involved in this bowl of cereal.

 

I eat a can of tuna every morning, so I did get that fix of nature's sea-candy.

Drinking Two Juicy



Mike Clark and Bennie Maupin are the standouts on this one

 

Clear golden color with good white cap and lacing which tracts all the way down the glass.

Aroma of good malt with piney, citrusy hops.

Taste presents a substantial malt body up front toting fresh hops on it's back. The hops have a bit of a piney kick but are mostly citrus and fruit. I get some elements of grapefruit, both pulp and zest, also ripe fruits such as mango and pineapple. Fairly complex and well blended flavors.
