I also thought it was very good. I was going to actually pick up another six pack. I LOVE anything sessionable in a 12 oz. can.

And of course, I never noticed the price.

In the spirit of the impending heat wave coming to the Northeast... Stone's Notorious P.O.G is a nice summer sipper. I also enjoyed Gneiss' Sonennshein. If you like Kolsch, you'll really like this beer. Very well done.

Speaking of pils, for all you Rothaus Pils drinkers out there - I’ve seen some sixers with “BB dates” in December. The furthest out I’ve ever seen dates is two months so it’s nice to see that number doubled. Certainly not comparable to Jacks Abbey’s wonderful prices but it’s a tasty premium import.

Their Gneiss Weiss is also good. I also picked up some Springdale Das Weizen which I LOVED last year.

Finally, my top summer beer this year is Devil's Purse "South Dennis Style" Table Beer. Friggin' delicious, and the lime is very subtle. 4% ABV, perfect.

Grab a case for Saturday's impending heat.

Wow, bottled in June, that's unreal. I'll keep an eye out for this.

Best Pils you can buy off the shelf in my opinion. Or at least one of.

I can't seem to find a good description of this beer anywhere (it appears to be part of a rotating series?).

Is it a Belgian-esque type of table beer or something else all together? I'm not really a fan of the Belgian yeast taste in lighter beers unfortunately.

Yup, unfortunately. Like a Mystic Table Beer with a touch of lime.

Ah okay thanks. I actually don't mind Mystic's version since it's pretty mild on that flavor, so I might give it a whirl with proper expectations.

Siting in the keys for my vacation now wishing for Mystic Table Beer.

Wish I could get that in CT.

Not quite key west (Islamaorada). Drinking one of the best tasting Stellas of my life. (Out of a frozen mug on the beach)

He’s actually in the less well known ‘Wisconsin Keys’ and without beer. You should feel very bad for this man.

Sounds better than the New England IPA I'll inevitably drink on Saturday in 100 degree heat.

Does Sturbridge count as western? Yankee Spirits typically stocks their stuff. I didn't specifically see those but I wasn't looking. I have grabbed King Sue, Sosus, and Scorpius Morchella four packs in the past there. They have their bottles too.

I went last night and grabbed. Burlington Beer's Peasant King and Sea of Air. I am pumped they are trickling down here.

Bacon's in Hudson pretty much always has fairly fresh rothaus pils and it's probably the best beer I buy on a semi regular basis.

Checked my local store for the "best by December" Rothaus. No dice.

Only "best by September", meaning it was bottled in March.

Not W. Mass., but Oakdale Liquors in Tewksbury had plenty of Galaxy Pseudo Sue over the weekend. I bought a four-pack, and I regret not buying more. This is really a fantastic beer ... really tastes like what Galaxy FPPA used to.
