Amesbury, MA Beer

I finally got the chance to check out Silvaticus with my wife over the July 4th weekend. I'd been wanting to visit for awhile. We were staying in Newbury so we took the short ride to Amesbury.

We had a great time. It was a nice break from the heat on that Saturday. The space is simple, but clean. Plenty of room with great natural light. We stepped outside to the patio, but it was too hot to spend our afternoon out there.

We settled into a corner with a round of rummy and snacked on the pickled veggies and a pretzel. Pretzel was great with the two types of mustard. I had 3 beers: Sovereign, Autocorrect, and Oblivion. They were all good to great. I enjoyed Oblivion the most. It was on nitro and looked great in the glass. One of those beers that just hit the spot. It was hard to decide whether or not to slug it back because it was so smooth or savor each sip.

Not sure when we'll get a chance to go back, but I highly recommend a visit to anyone who hasn't visited yet.

 

Swung by Silvaticus over the weekend to try the Steam Beer. Enjoyed it, tasted as advertised. Their rotational hoppy lager was extra good this time too, but I failed to ask which hop they were profiling on this batch.
