Kane Brewing (2019)

I feel most cans last through the weekend these days. Single Fin was the first Kane beer I ever had back in like 2013 at Barcade in Jersey City

 

I mean sure but I also don't own a car so going down to Kane is kinda a hard sell. If I had pulled the trigger on ANTEAD at least I'd have the excuse of I've already paid $100 for beer I need to pick up.

 

haha that's exactly why i put that line in there about not trying - its hilarious how anything is interpreted as butthurt with any comments following one of the eventbrite releases. I literally chose not to try for it given both given the price and since I was in VT for a week and I'm already stocked up. So @forum8417 you couldn't have been more wrong and congrats on your 2 sets.....I guess??

@fdonnelly thanks for the heads up on the new fan, I've been on there on hot & humid days sweating my ass off so I know exactly what you mean. I do feel bad for those locked in on picking up this weekend as I know I personally wouldn't want to hangout there in this heat given their setup.... but to each their own. It will be interesting to see how many people are crammed in the front tasting room/swag shop that actually does have AC though.

Wow I completely forgot about Single Fin. Glad to see it back. Definitely grabbing a few 4 packs this weekend.

I too forgot about single fin.

The new fan is phenomenal. Might still be warm in there but it creates a remarkably substantial breeze

 

they definitely sweetened the deal for those making pickups this w/e. Per FB cans of party wave and 3 different bottles of picture in reverse as well (regular, rye, and a third double barrell (rye & syrah barrels).

 

Kane completely punting people in the nutz that did not win ANTEAD today!

 

I mean, anyone can still go today but yeah, the extra crowd would likely have had non- ATEAD winners making other plans this weekend. Seems like they could wait to release more barrel-ages beers.

 

There isn't any line at all. Just stop in and grab them.

Here now, it is not crowded at all and the big ceiling fan is getting it done just enough for a second beer. Aside from dealing with the Parkway, one of my better Saturday experiences in a while.

 

The fan did very little it was HOT. But not terribly crowded at 4pm when I was there. And everything was still available (I did not get ANTEAD, but happened to be at the beach so stopped on way home).

By the way, Single Fin is better than I remember. Cleaner finish than prior version, IMO.

 

Wax Comb is outstanding and so is the Neapolitan ANTEAD variant

 

I ended up going sunday, inside the tap room actually wasnt as bad given them temp, that huge fan they installed does help alot, at around 330 there we still a decent amount of people there. They do need to get more seating though, if you cant find seats at the tables your forced to stand and that gets old fast

 

Unless you were a ways away from the area the fan was, it was IMMENSELY better than it was outside. After getting to Kane from being outside for a few hours, it was noticeably much more comfortable than if there was no fan. I wouldn't want to sit there for an hour, but I wasn't as uncomfortable as I would have been without it. the whole area with the picnic tables you could feel the breeze from the fan IMO.

I will have to try some of the new single fin batch.

I can see on a weekend where it was as hot as it was, standing would get old, but I generally don't mind standing at a barrel if I can find one near the doors when they are open. Especially in the fall months

 

agree with this, I usually prefer to stand at a barrel, but I usually never stay more than an hour or so... if the situation was standing with nowhere to even put your flight/beer down, that's another story and indeed would not be enjoyable at all..

 

Agree on everything here. I feel like theres been sometimes way back where a release was so crowded that I couldn't even get a spot to put anything down. I feel like those days have passed with the online presales.
