All this Zombie Dust comparison makes me really want to drink some Zombie Dust.

I always want to drink ZD until I actually do and then it prompts why isn't this as good as I remember...I must have been having an epic day when I first had ZD.

Or you had a pre-mass-produced, game-changing APA for it's time. I'd rather like to believe you were just having an epic day though

Oh yeah, I now know what you meant. Yeah I agree with that.

You're not hip unless you're decrying current styles of the day and romanticizing clean pilsners and slugging down old man beers.

Opened my first Infinite Citra tonight. Definitely enjoyable, but makes me wish I was drinking an Infinite Galaxy instead.

Choice Helles, on the other hand, is top notch. I may actually prefer it to Premium Pilsner (which I love), but that could just be the heat.

I had a can of Helles this weekend and thought it was very good. Still prefer Dovetail's but Choice Helles is a nice option.

anyone have any insight on what PW ended up doing with all those fall 18 infected beers? I am up to 3 real bad ones right now :slight_frown:

I got an e-mail from Gerrit at the end of June saying that he'd respond the following week about the bad bottles and that they would get me all squared away (which I am confident they will). Considering the following week was the holiday and I'm sure they're still figuring this whole situation out and the appropriate announcement over e-mail or social media, I'm not surprised it may take a little longer. Perhaps @NOTpipeworks can chime in a bit more here, though.

I got a similar email and am still awaiting follow-up. I know PW will make it right; I'm more anxious to know if all the beers have issues or if it's just limited to some as I'd much prefer to drink them than return them. The Coconut I opened a month ago was definitely not right and I've heard things about Sundae, but from all indication Apple Brandy and Cognac seem to be OK? Or just might be small sample size as they were much more limited...

the issue, or issues, must be pretty hard to identify because the reports seem to be sporadic and across multiple variants.

with the murderous, wasn't it isolated to that offering and nearly every bottle infected?

i bought between 10 and 12 bottles of the various offerings. Drank all of them, and only one of the bottles of Sundae was off. Otherwise, people have loved them.

Would've preferred to Spotted Puffer in 4pks instead of $7/can but what are you gonna do. I'm not gonna bitch about the price.

I know it’s not a Jones Dog, but drinking a Winter 18 The Abduction right now and it’s fantastic. It’s become fudge in a Heaven Hill barrel. If I were drinking this blind, I’d swear it was brewed with chocolate. Still a tad on the hot side for my preference, but I imagine 6-12 months it will be top notch.

Cracked my last Jones Dog variant tonight. Cognac one. It's still massively Cognac forward. Zero sign of infection though. If the rumors weren't around I probably would have let this one remain cellared for a while.

I'm around. Spilled water on my computer around the 4th and just got it fixed. I've been overseeing some construction projects/night shift and been burning the candle at both ends and had a leg injury to boot... was planning to get back to everyone this previous weekend, but today is the day (I think).

We've had no reported issues with Cognac or Apple Brandy. Reg, Hyper, Coconut and Sundae have all had at least 1 report of sourness. It doesn't appear to be all bottles though.

I almost hate to ask but how's the build-out going on the new taproom next to Mi Tocaya!? I saw that story hit the local news feeds last summer of 2018 and wondered... Why? Spoiler: about to come visit in mid-August but suppose it will be a while before it's open.

Just a forlorn out-of-towner asking for.... a friend (wink). Good luck with it, @NOTpipeworks !
    Keep making killer shit, PW!

A Pipeworks taproom has been rumored for like a decade at this point lol

Last time I talked to someone, they said it wouldn't open before 2020. But we can all hope the "construction projects" NOTpipeworks mentions is related. I can't say that I've seen any work started on the building to this point, but that doesn't mean something internal hasn't begun.
