Somewhat certain they scanned it. But very certain they were thorough they matched the name on your ID with the name on the ticket.

Is it too much to ask of beer people that they follow the rules???

This is correct. Last year they matched your ID with the name on your ticket, then they scanned the ticket to make sure you were in the correct group

so what's the upshot here? cans were mislabeled and then covered over?

good for them not wasting cans, but how the hell does that happen?

The cans of Twisted Galaxy I bought recently were clearly re-labelled as well.

They are just using extra cans that they had left over from packaging runs i'm sure.

Or what if the different TG hoppy beers are all the same one, but each month of hop fade they put on a different label.....

Pretty sure my Scorpius cans had Sue underneath. Almost certainly using leftover/extra cans instead of buying blanks. Ultimately, don't care here.

You know, it's funny how palates are. I bought a 4 pack. After having the first can (I think I had a beer or 2 prior) I wasn't as wowed as I had been previously when I had a bomber a ways back. Few days later split one with a friend on a clean palate and we were both super impressed. So go figure. Glad I bought it and looking forward to the other 2.

I really learned how much having a beer or two before any hazy can impact the perceived taste when that last batch of Galaxy Bowl came out last summer. It literally tasted like vomit if you had a beer before trying it, but on a fresh palate it was amazing.

Rules? Brother won the lottery and I didn’t. He lives in bufu Kansas and can’t make it. I bought the ticket and has my name on it. Just wanted to make sure the process before I email TG or make the long ass drive out.

Don’t email. If your name is on the ticket you’re good. It’s not as bad as the first time when they checked address and compared it. I got questioned because we had just moved and hadn’t updated my license yet.

Tasted like grassy vomit to my fresh palate.

And how is this different than multiple people agreeing to split an allotment if one wins?

Did anyone else not really enjoy the Galaxy psuedosue? Not a fan.

    Maybe I'm crazy...

Nope different strokes for different folks. I’m not a huge fan of supa sumo or mosaic sue, just not a big fan of what they do with mosaic hops, but like mosaic hops in other beers

yep, you're definitely crazy  in all seriousness, i'm not sure what more one could want in a DDH beer showcasing galaxy. mouthfeel, flavor, depth, drinkability is all on point.

i don't even love galaxy, and it's one of the best hazies i've had recently.
