No Black Cat but a pint of Black Dog yesterday! Lovely stuff, how do they pack in all those flavours into such a low gravity brew?
Glad I can always find plenty of cask mild locally.

The store re Black Cat is out of it so they're giving me a refund for them.

That's good; what's better is I found another source online at a much lower price!

Do divulge good sir! My local has it for I think £2.49 which isn't too bad, especially compared wiith the Pendle Witches Brew which is £2.89.

Oh you're in the land of yank, never mind hehe

The store doesn't list it anymore...dammit. It WAS around $3.50 a bottle. I DO see some Elizabethan Ale in stock for $3.99 a bottle. Not quite an English Dark Mild but a beer I've been hoping to try.

I'd love to get Adnams beers here, I really want to try them. Cain's cans started showing up recently in my area including their Dark Mild.

This was the hardest of all the styles for me to find here in the US.

There's nowhere I can get any of those beers. Not even the Ossian is on any webshop I know of.

Talk about timing. Just returned from a meal and the supermarket and Ossian was was about £1.50 ($2.40 approx) a bottle. True story.

There aren't many which are actually labelled as such. "Mild" is not a fashionable product so many pale milds are badged as "Bitter" or just "ale", dark mild is either labelled "dark" or simply given a fancy name such as Rutland Panther or Dark Horse.

Yes it has but it's still a light year behind cask
Had my last bottle of Brewer's Dark-the 2.8% one-this afternoon, gardening in warm sunshine it was just right. Watery perhaps but when I'm thirsty that's fine by me.I don't drink water though I do wash and cook with it and swim in it.

I've recently got in some Cains's Calcutta pale ale in cans and I think the faults com from the brew not the can though this ties in nicely with the charge of the 2.8% brigade, I had the bottled Brewer's Dark just before the strength drop and like most Lee's beers found it a good standard then with the advent of the new lower strength beers and tasting them though 'hang on some roasts would really help out'.
