Half Acre (2019)

My issues is that whenever I intend to pick something up from HA on my way home from work the route takes me past Bottles and Cans first. There isn't $$ or room left for HA stuff.

 

Did anyone try this? I love a good west coast IPA

 

Ohhh, that kina.....amazing, that’s the half acre I grew to love. Laughed at the reviews on untappd, 3s, 3.5s....smh.....feel bad for these new craft beer drinkers that do not know what a good old school ipa is suppose to taste like.

 

Don’t you know unless it’s NE IPA, fruited kettle sour or a pastry diabetes stout, it’s not a proper beer these days?

 

You left out pastry sour. Which tells me you aren't doing it right. Oh, and pilsners!

 

Your comment caused me to take a look at the Untappd review. A few reviews that had me chuckling:
Hazy west coast IPA. Not terrible.
Decent IPA. But heavy on the hops, not very citrusy
Give east coast over west coast any day ...

 

I feel very conflicted when I see shit like that. On the one hand, I love NE IPAs, so it's not like I'm totally against the sentiment, but on the other, I hate judging a style of IPA by the standards of a different IPA style.

On a third hand (someone else's, I guess), the haze craze helped IPAs blow up to a degree that even they hadn't previously reached, so I suppose I should be thankful.

 

All three of those made me cringe...

 

Nah, it's plain idiocy. It's like reviewing a pilsner and complaining it doesn't taste like a pale ale. West Coast and New England IPAs are very different beer styles.

 

I mean, yeah, but I doubt the people reviewing like that on Untappd have any idea that that's the case.

"uhhh this isn't hazy, I thought you said it was an IPA? this just tastes like a regular beer"

 

I enjoyed the first review. If Kina is a hazy what's a "standard" IPA? White Claw?

Just teasing the reviewer a little. All in good fun.

 

I was at a Total Wine in Milwaukee today and they had an abundance of 4-packs of dungeons. I was so salty that this amazing beer was just sitting on the shelf up there. If it wasnt canned in January I woulda bought all of it

 

That Big North Tap List tho.... slushees are a welcomed addition IMO

Well Kina is already sold out, knew I should have grabbed more.

 

Wonder how quickly the Fully Saturated DDC will sell out. Didn't it sell out pretty quickly last time it was released (in half a day)?

 

Can't remember when it sold out but IIRC it was $20.99 last year which if correct I would applaud HA for dropping it to $17.99 TY.
