Because the tap room is closed on Mondays.

I don't mind being a little tired today but having the event from 4-7 or 5-8 would of been nice.

With Kurt Vile there on Saturday, this will be way more of a clusterfudge than usual. He puts on a great show though, so I'm sure many will come just for that.

I haven't been to a block party in years... Are these things run closer to Prop Day or are they still complete anarchy or line rides?

They're really not that crazy. The lines for the BCBS are long but they move fast and things last long.

Lines are easy...if you get in. Last year GI was really strict about capacity, which is great for the people who got in. Unfortunately, I showed up later (5.30ish) on Saturday and left (~300 people in front of me waiting to get in and turned away)

We waited last year about an hour to get in. Once in though it was great. The vintage BCS choices are always great. Definitely worth going

Are vintage BCBS options becoming less enticing as the years go on? It was great for things like OG's Rare, Vanilla, Bramble, and King Henry, but everything that has come out since does not seem to have the prestige and rarity of those things and are easily found....

I'll always drink a variant of BCBS especially for practically free.

I'd personally drink Midnight Orange over a lot of the earlier variants, and last year's Reserve was fantastic, imo. I like "rare" vintages as much as the next guy, but GI's current output still has some classics.

I’m sure there will be an endless supply of Prop 14 at the block party

Have they/do they release list of what to expect on tap?

Yes, it's a general list but the times they put them on during the day are not listed if I recall.

Correct, they will have a list of what they're tapping but with no day/time. Regardless of when you go, they tap amazing BCS kegs all day (Triple Barrel, Rare, Reserve, whatever). When one keg taps, another awesome one comes on, and around and around it goes.

Not for me. I wasn't into beer as much back in 2011-14 so it's cool to still be able to try them. Plus one offs that never made it to bottles like double barrel brandy are always special.

Two years ago I would just watch the old guy standing watching the TV change and when he wasn't there I knew a new beer went up that was worth checking out

I was probably standing right next to that old guy. This past year I felt like the screen was changing so much, I didn't even need the old guy.
