Does anyone know when HF is doing the BA maple syrup again? Our bottle for like 3 years ago is almost done and would love to get another, so delicious.

 

That stuff stayed good? I've had other maple syrup from VT go bad fairly quickly. I'd hate to hang on to something that limited for that long and risk losing it, let alone losing quality.

 

Without a fresh batch to compare it to, I can't say how much it's dropped off, but we use it about once a month and it still tastes delicious (had some yesterday with pancakes). It's been kept in the fridge the whole time. I wasn't' purposefully hanging on to it this long, just don't eat breakfast food that calls for syrup very often.

 

Based on my experience (make syrup yearly for 10+years), real maple syrup should never "go bad" unless it gets a contaminate in the bottle. I have a BA Hill Farmstead bottle in my fridge from 2016 that I use once in a while for cocktails or desserts and it has not degraded at all.

 

That's what I figured too. This was a darker amber we got from Vermont on a skiing trip, one of those tan plastic jugs, and white fungus started growing in it. Not much different than penicillin, might have been, had that taste to it.

Thanks for the tips for those that did respond. We got there about 12:15, with about 8 people in the retail line. By the time I left, it was out the door and looking a bit sad. It's quite the slow process. But they triple check everything.

The growler/draft barn was a hot house today. Very hot in there. I ended up getting out with a bit of everything.
Last year when we showed up, they had one or two can offerings. We walked with three growlers then. This trip more than made up for it.

 

Are cans and CD26 decimated? Or do i have a chance Saturday before the fest?

Do they always lower limits as they approach sellig out ?

 

4 can options and CD26 is listed as still available on the retail page.

What limits were lowered?

 

I meant will the 3pp be lowered to 2 or 1 before selling out. Wondering if the fact it hasn’t been lowered means they have a chance for Saturday.

It’s possible. Limit hasn’t changed on it.

Sumner is gone since it was removed from the listings. They also seemed to updated Anna: Motueka real time today as well. So, unless they haven’t updated the retail page yet, I’d suspect it’s still available, but I haven’t seen/heard otherwise.

 

A guy in a Facebook group said it was gone. Whatever. Just really holding onto any glimmer of hope CD lasts till Saturday morning

 

When I left at 3pm yesterday they ran out of SS6, Anna:Motueka, & Sumner I would say you might be good but today will be super busy so who knows. They sold out of Anna: Motueka & Summer when I was on line and figured those would last.

 

Can anyone give me a price check on Madness & Reason #7? I'm going to assume properly refrigerated it's still pretty good out of the growler. Thanks!

Anyone that went in for the FoFa lottery and didn’t get tickets receive an email today about registering for the fest? I didn’t get tix but for some reason received an informational email at 12pm.

Edit: just received a follow up email from Bob that it was accidental......killing my hopes...lol
