What beer are you drinking now? #2483

I was there with my son. Could not believe the crowd on a Wednesday. This one is amazing but I can see where it will be even better in a week.

 

Oh damn. That sucks it would have been cool to meet you. I don’t know if this rings a bell but I was the abnormally tall guy wearing a Southern Tier Unearthly grey t-shirt.

 

Honestly I was on the lookout for someone self described as freakishly tall but did not see you. I would have come over

 

Fantastic fruit sour. Opaquely murky fruit color. Great head retention/spotty lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge sour/tart/tangy apricot, peach, fruit fuzz/skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; light vanilla, peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation, medium-plus body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy wheat, lactic acid, fruit tang/tannins, and light slickness in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy dryness; no pucker/astringency. Very smooth, pretty refreshing, not overly lactic, zero warming 7.7%. Fantastic balance of super juicy/jammy apricots and Lacto complexity; with a great pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Mild residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy dryness. Another impressive one in this fruit sour series. 4.2

Haha, I was siting at a bench by the windows for awhile until one of my buddies met me and we hung by the bar. My number was 104 so I had awhile to wait. I like that though, at least you can order a pint and sit down and not have to line up.

 

What a great flight! So jealous!

ps-And you followed that up with what....! I don’t remember any Treehouse in the DH brewery!?!

 

I’ve had a handful of Urban Artifact “Fruit Tarts” and I’ve enjoyed all of them except that beer, which to me was a thin, undercarbonated, overly acidic and one dimensional mess. I was rather disappointed.

I haven't had one of these since I moved a year ago. Tasting more like those first batches I drank a couple of years ago. Perhaps absence does make the heart grow fonder?

Dog and wife are asleep on the other side of the couch, so I’m sitting watching Guys Grocery Games and sipping on this one.


Threw some chicken breasts, onions and some bbq sauce I bought off a guy at the bar the other day in the crock pot. Should be some nice shredded chicken bbq by the morning.

Shout out to Myron for hustling his bbq sauce at the bar. Says he was a local chef, who knows, was too many beers in to care. Shits good though.
