I’m heading to the Encore this weekend and noticed there wasn’t an official thread about craft beer there.

Does anyone who’s been have any recommendations?

I noticed the “Waterfront” has what appears to be the most extensive draft list.

Well I saw this thread was here all week with no replies and since its Friday, I figured I'd give what info I have.
As you noted the "Waterfront" definitely has the best craft selection with some outrageous pricing as every restaurant and bar in the place does. The burger bar upstairs I think also has a good craft selection. And I have only been there to gamble and have not tried any of the restaurants. The one central bar in the casino has Santilli IPA from Nightshift (16oz can)for like $12 and change. The comped drinks when gambling are quite limited. Sam Summer I'm afraid is about as good as you're gonna do for those. Maybe it'll change to Octoberfest soon .I've been a couple times during some blistering heat waves so have had Corona a cpl times (only time I will drink it is when its really hot outside) The bloody marys were good when I went on a Sunday morning once. I hope that helps. Good luck !!

Careful, I hear they're short changing pours by an oz.

That would be an upgrade from many places in Somerville/Cambridge.

Not all that great, especially at the buffet. You're going to be paying $12 for a pint of beer you could have for $7 at a lot of the other bars in Boston.

Screw Encore. High min limits & bad odds on table games. If you want to gamble go to the Vegas suburbs, quite the opposite. Good beer @ the tables too.

This isn't the only place I've come across people talking about how expensive everything is there. I suppose they must be banking on the fact that people *really* don't want to drive the 2 hours to Mohegan.

It'll be interesting to see if they can maintain interest at current prices once the novelty wears off.

I think the novelty wore off already.

Virtually no traffic to get there Saturday afternoon. The restaurants were all empty. Casino floor was busy-ish, but had no trouble finding a table for any of the games ($25 limit for Black Jack).

Went to the Waterfront for beers afterwards. Paid $10 for a 16 oz. draft of Mystic Table Beer. My youngest brother got a 16 oz. can of Nite Lite that was $9. And my other brother got a 16 oz. draft of Lord Hobo's 5.3% IPA/pale ale made for the casino called, "Project Baccarat". That was also $9.

We got a Dog and Pony Show draft to go and split it in two plastic cups. That was all for beer. There was a "South Beer Garden" outside that didn't exist. Walked over there and nothing was set up but one lonely game of corn hole.

We had already planned on eating in the Seaport but my brother was hungry and got a $9 slice of pizza at "Bru" their cafe.

We just missed the ferry over to the Seaport, which would have been nice. It looked like they had a bar on the boat.

All in all, really disappointing. Not a whole lot going on inside to be honest. And it was incredibly NOT busy on a Saturday afternoon from about 3 - 5 pm.

The harbor walk area and the "garden" area are really nice (despite no beer being there). Worth checking out though, it's...well it's a casino. And going to Legal Harborside was fantastic. Great day overall, despite the whole casino part (which was still fun to at least check out).

I went Saturday night (arrived around 10 PM) and it was PACKED. I couldn’t even get a beer at the casino floor bar. Waited 20 minutes one time then just gave up. Getting in and (especially) getting out was verrry slow. Sounds like everybody shows up at night, but it’s not bad during the day. I thought stakes were too high, with most minimum bets being $50. All the tables were full too so I didn’t try. Played poker for a little while, lots of action there. They came around with Coronas.
