I've loved every can of Shades I've had (2 different batches). Probably my favorite New Trail beer (although the Spiral Fracture I had last night gives it a run).

Road Trip, however, was a drain pour for me. Wondering if I got a bad one. It didn't even look right to me (looked like mud).

The Shades I had were all excellent. Had a Bonfire last night though that seemed really boozy. I know it’s 9%+ but it was still hot.

That's how I felt about No Brakes.

Not sure it’s only you. A friend got a pour recently and we all looked at it and basically knew something was wrong. I did take a sip before it was sent back and it was so muted that I assumed oxidation was the culprit or at least a factor. This was on tap, not a can.

Shades and Road Trip were a let down.

I only have had Shades once, from a can. I loved it. I would be tempted to say it is my favorite New Trail beer I've had yet.

One can I had was good. The other 2, not so much. You got lucky.

Had my last can last night and it was awesome! So 2 out of 4 cans sucked.

I've had most of my 4 pack of road trip. It definitely looked darker when poured then I expected. No huge off flavors but I would say muted hops are the perfect adjective for it.

    Here's what mine looked like

    New Trail Road Trip IPA

Anyone try any of the newer releases (Spiral Fracture, Dar Skies: Little Bear, River Walk, Bright Days Citra, etc.)? Thinking of picking up a few 4 packs tomorrow.

Tried Spiral Fracture and loved it. That and Shades were probably my two favorites from them.

Grabbed a 4 pack of Spiral Fracture and Riverwalk today but haven’t tried yet

Had Little Beer on draft previously and I had good flavor for a lower ABV stout

Had Bright Days Citra when it previously released so I passed, especially since I’m can heavy at home from my beach trip haul

Was going to get the New Heliocentric but the wholesaler dropped off the older release at the distributor I go to

New release this week on a collab with Imprint - a "pastry lager." The last collab by New Trail and Imprint was really good; hope this one is as well.
