Barrel-Aged BIF Hints & Hauls cont'd

Thanks for starting this up again. Still waiting on my box....so thirsty

 

Doesn't look like my box arrived in time for thanksgiving feast as our FedEx and UPS deliveries already came. We need more clues in this thread.

 

Really hoping i come home from work and there is a box a treats to share on thanksgiving

 

Just curious, has anyone counted to see how many different people have posted in the thread? This BIF was huge, so it wouldn't shock me if some people hadn't posted anything. It would raise questions as to their intents on participation though.

I'm mobile, so not really able to check now. May have to get to that tonight.

 

I believe all 52 people have posted at least 1 time. I went through all of those posts out of boredom to try to narrow my sender down. I came up with what I believe to be all 52 participants. I have it narrowed down to 7. Of those 7 I think only 2 are kind of active in the thread...

 

A couple have only replied to their hauls. Two have only posted once. I am going to mass message everyone listed to inform them of the new thread and ask that they post to it so we know of everyone's intentions. Any objections to that?

 

No objection on that. People technically still have a week to get their boxes out. I'll only start to get worried if next week comes and goes and I still don't have a box.

*edit* Brady said that a few were confused and may need more time for early december releases - that's fine but seems like those people receiving from these people should get a heads up is all. I'm sure all is on the up and up - no worries here - just anxious

 

just saw all know, my box may be shipping a little, late i will have more clarification, next week,

either have wat i want n send, or replace what i need, or send box and then send follow up box

right - there were more than 52 that posted in the thread. One person posted to say they teamed up with a participant. I think the 52 official people posted. And then a few people keeping tabs and want in for round 2.

 

That's what I'm talking about! We BAs are some OCD mofos. Glad I'm not the only one who was thinking about this stuff.

 

My box departed Salt Lake City this morning and his heading north like a mofo.

 

I believe Snark also narrowed it down to like 7 for us. I think everyone's list is "these same 5 guys who aren't posting hints" and then a couple people whose hints fit.

 

I think I have an idea who is shipping to me, but not certain. There were a few random hints that applied to me, and of course the ones who weren't posting hints at all.

 

I'm clueless as to who is shipping to me, but I'm fairly certain that the person I'm shipping to will be happy... even if they don't have it in time for Thanksgiving.

 

Can someone ask Brady who it is that has been given permission to send late? I think it is fair to post on here who they are. Heck, a couple have already done so. Being that a few have not posted often, I am a little anxious/nervous for those who do not receive before (a week after) the shipping window.

 

Yeah, I've narrowed our list down to three people who have posted some decent hints that don't disqualify us (one of which has sounded really promising!), one person who has posted a bunch of times but no real hints, and three who have posted once each with little to no info (last time I checked). It would be nice if everyone posted some increasingly specific hints throughout the shipping period, because that is part of the fun of this for a lot of us. I get that some people don't feel that way, and it really is most important to focus on putting together a nice box for your recipient, so as long as those folks are doing that, I won't fault them. (If hints were a stated requirement in the BIF, I'd obviously feel differently.)
Stu and I were definitely slow but I hope our target is happy. Between the two of us, we've posted a lot of hints, but if our recipient still doesn't know who he is, he certainly will on Tuesday.

 

My box is pretty much finished, should be packing up friday and sending East monday. YAY -BALS!
