If you can get Pliny on draft every day like I can, you are not going to be complaining and looking for Pliny Killers. Its nice to always have PtE as an option. There are always other amazing IPA, IIPA, and DIPAs but Pliny is definitely one of the best. Sculpin is also amazing but I wouldn't call it a Pliny killer, its just another world class beer.

I hate to quote myself, but this is included in the OP

"I'm not saying this beer is better, but it has made me question pliny for the first time."

Main point...just wanted to congratulate fat heads for a job very well done. I mentioned pliny because many consider it the bench mark for the style, that's all..

I love Pliny and think it is a terrific beer. Double Sunshine is tops in my book. Here in CT I have access to Gandhi-Bot on draft at NEBCO. Fresh Gandhi-Bot is amazing as well. Cheers!!!

I'm a big fan of Head Hunter. It's in the top 10 of all of my 785 reviews; as is PtE and others you'd recognize as top tier IPA/DIPAs. Love White Rajah but it didn't quite make the top 10.

If I had PtE has a choice on draft at my local bar, I think I would have a very difficult time ever ordering anything else. I was on a trip last week and found a bar that did (went a couple times), and as good as the beer menu was (it was terrific) I just couldn't bring myself to miss a chance for a PtE. And I don't regret it either.

    Blasphemy!

I kid, I kid, because that is probably why I like White Rajah so much.

I haven't ever had a Columbus IPA but I do I have one in my fridge right now and I am looking forward to checking it out.

Zombie Dust isn't even an IPA.

No question it's a worldclass APA though.

    Pliny > Coke
I bet someone on here will even disagree with that.

Wow. I was just considering a 14 hour drive to VT. I don't know if knowing I am not the only one willing to do all that makes me feel more or less insane.

Also, Head Hunter is my favorite Ohio IPA and I am pretty sure I have had most. White Raja isn't quite as flavorful. Columbus IPA is fantastic, but second place behind Head Hunter for sure.

There are some great DIPAs out there, but I've yet to have one that really showcases traditional west coast hops like Pliny does. For pine-y grapefruity hops, Pliny is where its at for me. For DIPAs on the tropical hop side, Double Dorado is my winner. For single IPAs, Blind Pig and Sculpin are my favs by far

Im sure there were people who came from further then myself, but I cant imagine they went up and back in 1 day too. Anymore driving then that would have been two much.

Only stops I took from 45 mins south of boston were 1 bathroom break on the way up and back, one stop at a country store to pick up heady and lawsons because the cannery was sold out as of mid afternoon friday and Hill Farmstead for the hour and a half it took to stand in line etc wait for my growlers to be filled.

Left at 630 am did not get back to 5:45 PM.
