Have four days in SD and am staying near the convention center . Uber is my mode of transportation. Prefer NR Ipa’s And stouts. Where should I go? Breweries nearby or must see’s ? Bars? Bottle shops ? Any must visit dining spots?

    Thanks in advance

Just got back from a week in San Diego with the wife (tradeshow at the convention center). Was able to hit plenty of good spots (Resident, Half Door, Neighborhood, Stone pub on J street, Mikkeller). Thanks all for the suggestions, and next time I'll spend an afternoon in North Park.

Really enjoyed Hop-Fu! and wished I visited North Park Beer Co. earlier in the trip.

Treevana was awesome after Pizza Port and the other Burgeon WCIPA/PA offerings I had (forgot to list Canopy Tour). Then when I had a can as the first of the day it was softer than I remembered and then I saw flaked oats listed in the malt bill. Still like it but not as much as the first one on a tested palate.

The Apprentice is still my jam after all these years. Still prefer it to The Pupil.

Alpine is now distributing Pitcher Perfect (at least in kegs) to Arizona. Couldn't be happier.

Beachwood, Kern River, and Russian River were guilty pleasures.

Hop Fu has really been dialed in. It took awhile but it's finally on par with Kelsey's homebrewed version.

Just got back from San Diego. Tried a lot of stuff, but spent most my time at AleSmith and Modern Times (Lomaland). May have went too hard at AleSmith, but thanks to the poster above stressing I should check it out ... totally worth the trip. AleSmith Sap Ness and MT's Unlike Birds were my favorites. Unlike Birds was just awesome ... thanks for all the input everyone.

    At AleSmith had:
Speedway Stout - Sap Ness, Mexican, Jamaican, Waffle, Vietnamese, Double Barrel. Brought back bottles of Sap Ness

    At MT Lomaland:
Unlike Birds (collab w/ Other Half)
Temple of Ruin (collab w/Burial Beer Co)
**Also brought home cans of Dreamspeaker

While in the city had Resident (Chasing Citra, Chasing Mosaic), Mikkeller (Windy Hill), Societe (The Pupil), and various typical Modern Times cans (e.g., Booming Rollers, Lomaland, etc.).

Reviving with a Q. I hardly ever go up to Oceanside. Breaking the trend on Saturday. Plan on going to bagby's. Any other recommendations as far as taprooms with limited pours, or new beers to check out while up there?

Barrel Republic, Northern Pine Brewing, PCH, and Urge would be a good start.

PCH always has a few gems, their prices are good as well. It's Loud AF in there sometimes so I can't stop in when my kid is with me. My other local that I love dearly is Breakwater. I think their beer is under-rated. Fresh DMJ is fabulous, good food as well. A tad inland is a cool Belching Beaver facility as well. I did not personally enjoy any Northern Pine beers.

    Reviving this thread.

Going to Padres game tonight (any recommendations in regards to food, beer in the stadium? We're sitting in the Premier/Omni Club seats.) After the game and Saturday, we'll likely hang-out in the Gaslamp and downtown area. Neighborhood seems to be temporarily closed. Planning on hitting up Resident, but beyond that, not sure. Any recommendations for good tacos, beer bars, breweries, speakeasies, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

For the park, I tend to walk around to each Pizza Port location and see if they are pouring Bacon & Eggs.

Otherwise I head to Seaside market down on Field level by 1st base and get some tritip nachos and usually a can of Chasing Citra.

Hey guys, I'm going to be in Rancho Bernardo Thursday through Saturday. Aside from Abnormal, what are the must stops in the area? Food?

Directly in the area, Second Chance...and goto Urge and/or Brother's Provisions for food and taplists.
