So, I'm sitting at DTW earlier today nursing a Norm's and reflecting how much I really enjoy it, yet it doesn't seem to get much attention. The last Michigan-centric post I found on the subject was back in 2012, so let's play a game:

You have a friend from out of state who's never has a Michigan beer. They want an IPA/DIPA, something that screams "Michigan IPA"

    THE CONDITIONS:
Must be either available year-round or seasonally (at least two to three months of the year)
Does not have to be distributed. If you can go to the pub and get it, as long as it meets the condition above, it's fair game.
IPA/DIPA, let's leave Brut and NEIPAs out. Because.

    My list:
    Norm's Raggedy Ass, Griffin Claw
    The Parallyzer, Austin Brothers
    Superfluid, Short's Brewing
    Centennial, Founder's
    Mt Olympus, Farmington Brewing
    Two Hearted, Bell's.

Let's see your locals, Michiganders! Bonus points if they're only available in Michigan!

    51K, Blackrocks
    Huma, Shorts Brewing
    Two Hearted, Bells
    Mosaic Promise, Founders
    Train Hopper, Witchs Hat
    Superfluid, Shorts Brewing
Not an IPA but have to say that I believe Spruce Pilsner (Shorts Brewing) is Michigan captured in a bottle.

I would give my friend a Two Hearted and tell him it won Beer of the Year three years in a row as voted by the American Homebrewers Assoc.

Then I would tell my friend all about Old Nation M43 but I wouldn't let him drink one because it's an NEIPA and that's against the rules of this thread.

Your original list is really good. I would also add -

Founders Red's Rye - the first one after Two Hearted I would share
    Short's Freedom of '78
    Bell's Hopsolution
    Founder's Azacca
    Greyline Mosacca
    Blackrocks 51k
    Brewery Vivant Hop Field
Ellison Dawn Street (technically, it's a pale ale but close enough)

Crooked Tree IPA and Double Crooked Tree from Dark Horse have a good following.
Greenbush puts out a few good ones but I especially like Star Chicken Shotgun IPA and Brother Benjamin DIPA.
Reactor IPA and Enigma DIPA are good ones from Tapistry.
Monkey Mouth IPA from Grand River is another good one.
Hop Rocket DIPA from Arcadia is another good one.

All of the previously mentioned are great!
Among the tops in my list I would recommend to them would be...

    - Kuhnhenn Dripa
(Up until recently it was brewery only)
    - Bells Two Hearted
    - Shorts Huma
    - Founder's Centennial

    The OG's:

    Bell's Two Hearted
    Hopslam (DIPAs allowed?)

Then maybe Founders All Day IPA because it became the ubiquitous beer of grocery stores everywhere.

Spruce is one of my favorites all around. I think it might be a pain/expensive to make, supply has seemed spotty over the past few years.

Sampler packs only last two years, hoping it makes it's way Into six packs again someday. Even at a higher price.

I remember someone comparing Brother Benjamin to Hopslam. "cheaper version of Hopslam" is how they put it. Similar ingredients yet both beers can stand on their own as great brews. :beers:

I’d add Michigan Awesome Hatter to the list if it were still being made. Seems to have been off the shelves for too long.

Some good ones already mentioned, but I’ll add a couple I haven’t had in a long while, but might need to revisit as I did enjoy them before the haze craze.
    Crankers Professor IPA
    Oddside Hoplicated

And for non-Michigan brews on the shelf ...

A lot of good ones in this thread already (shout out for Kuhnhenn's DRIPA). I'd like to add Short's Psychedelic Cat Grass if it's eligible, if not, shout out anyways.
