You did. The winking face in my post was trying to indicate that I was kidding. Stone beers are clearly the popular choice for threads like this.

He's got New Realm now to deal with... 2-3 IPAs in the line up, but lots of fan friendly styles too.

I think about Victory's Yakima Glory every now and then. I really enjoyed that one. I know they were occasionally brewing it for their brew pubs, but I don't know if it sees distribution. I'm not even sure the last time they brewed it.

Hi everyone. Glad you enjoyed the post. Been a little (alot) busy haven't had time to check until tonight. Couple more I thought of ... you know, Stone Fear Movie Lions is an real good NE IPA, cheap, easy to get and overall, very decent. But I miss the original, classic RIS and the 2013 Espresso version. No reason to retire those beers other than ,,, idk? Another oldie, but goody, local for me, Troegs Flying Mouflan, not the barrel aged, I preferred the original. Out.

I'm not tired of it. Made me think of Stone 15th Anniversary Black IPA which was amazing, you know I like Stone beers but they need to bring back the classic RIS, 2013's Espresso RIS and whatever year the 15th anniversary was. Not a big fan of Woot (blasphemy, I know), Totalitarian, or the latest Espresso whatever, they're just not very good. Actually mediorce, I hate mediocre.

Rampant was an great beer, got me thru sooooo many unemployed 2016 days after stupid job interviews with stupider people. A 30+ year professional (me) had to go on 20 onsite interviews for one job offer. Really? And i don't want to count, phone interviews. Sorry, I don't like NE IPAs but I do like Juicy Haze, it's good. And. of course, La Folie is amazing when in the mood.

Rheingold was brewed in New Bedford at one point? Shit. I had no idea. That beer was a longtime favorite of my late Uncle (Newark born & raised). I lived in NB for 4 years after college, I had no idea there was big brewery there, appreciate the info.

I tired looking for some pics of the brewery but came up empty except for an old historic artists rendition of the brewery (apparently the brewery burned down in 1999....google maps shows the empty plot of land after said fire). Bummer.

Yeah, from about 1967 to 1977 (Brooklyn closed in '76, and New Bedford & Orange in '77). For a lot of it's existence under Rheingold ownership it was often called "Jacob Ruppert Brewing Co." because that was the primary product.

The brewmaster there, Ted Schueler, has roots in the NY-NJ metro area. Great and Grandfather operated Newark's Kastner's Phoenix brewery, his father brewed for NYC's V. Loewer and Ted replaced him. Uncle brewed for Feigenspan and his brother worked at Ballantine.

This one? http://breweriana.com/signs/dawsons-brewery-factory-scene-20708/ (Here's half of it. WTF.).
