I should clarify that I didn't win because I didn't enter the lottery.

Wait, this is actually a lottery to see who gets to wait in line to maybe get a beer? Holy shit lmao

I know of 3 people that won...and none of those 3 were me. I have never won a single lottery, so I'm starting to re-think my motto that they are the fairest way to run a release.

I literally got it immediately after I posted that I didn't get it, probably at like 1:35.

 

Ah well congrats. Never got one. I'll just keep checking for the next 10 years.

Didn’t you enter the separate lottery on brown paper tickets to win the right to purchase a draft poor?

 

A method that allows the same person to enter as many times as they feel like making emails can't be fair.

 

Didn’t see any mention of it being available on draft, so hopefully they release more info on that. Could be like the Mehndi thing also where there’s a certain amount of bottles available for on-site purchase and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

 

Last Mehndi release they had both Mehndi and henna cmv on tap

 

I see. Mehndi '18 was bottles only. I probably only went to pick up Mehndi '19 and CMV.

 

You could argue with just as much credence that a method that rewards people to line up earlier and earlier also can't be fair.

 

But they also had a line out the door of people for those bottles releases whereas this one has 600 people over the course of a week.

 

The only fair bottle release that guarantees you get a bottle is to own your own brewery...

 

They would also have to create separate names and identities, right? Seems far fetched. I can't just enter multiple e-mail addresses of my own under the same name. I for sure get that people may be entering wives (guilty), mothers, and long lost relatives, but I'm skeptical that people are out there "making" e-mails up for it.

And there is this aspect of other possible releases as well. There isn't one great way to do it. More and more, I wish they wouldn't even bottle stuff, and would just have it on tap...which is the polar opposite of what I used to think a few years ago.
