    Happy hump day!

Probably a tad early to drink, even more so a heavy beer like Chimay, but what the hell; I like it more now than some years ago. As I said, it’s a big, non-quaffable beer but if you take the time to sip on it and let it warm a bit totally worth it. World-class.

    Cheers!

No music today, but a clip from a Fish called Wanda, if Otto (Kevin Kleine) isn’t a funny, slightly deranged character I don’t know who is.

Good day BAs! Too early to drink? I think not - the sun's over the yard arm somewhere. Starting off today with thunderstorms - good thing I got the yard mowed yesterday! Today's New Breakfast Beer:

I'm having a Cape May Lager. It's very malty. Honeyed biscuit in the nose and taste. There's a nice hops bitterness to balance out the malts. It's got a fuller feel than I expected for a relatively low ABV lager. Damn good beer.

This has become one of my favorite beers of 2019. S'mores in a glass.

    Yellowhammer T-Minus Tangerine Kolsch

Slightly hazy light yellow gold color with white cap.

Mild aroma of tangerine on a mild grain base.

Flavor is bolder than the aroma. Tangerine is apparent but not overly so, rather it's a bit sharp like citrus zest or essential oils that doesn't come across as sweet like tangerine flesh or even tart for that matter. If you like tangerine (I do) this works rather well.

My last "weekday" beer post for a good while, friends. Might as well make it a good one!
Back to the semester grind for me.
Last day tweaking syllabi, field plans, learning outcome stuff... and all that jazz. Cheers!

Never a tad too early. BTW, you are drinking my wife’s favorite. Good thing she is at work and can not see it.

Anyway question to anybody out there. I tried asking yesterday, but had trouble starting an individual post.

I am drinking, well make that drank, a Flying Dog, Double Dog IPA. Yesterday was my first one, today my second and I am not sure how after over 700 beers, I never came across this before.
Anyway, when I went to enter my review, I noticed it has been on Beer Advocate since 2007, and is listed as 11.5 ABV. My bottles say 12 ABV, no big deal, but I am just curious, does this vary, or is this another iteration from the original. Although the picture looks the same. Minor issue, just curious if anyone knows. I know it is minor, but I am inquisitive.
Hey all, have a great day.
    Cheers

It’s my kids’ first day of school, I just finished a bunch of outdoor work, and it’s already in the 80’s and humid, so time for something light and refreshing. This came out before school even finished, may have lost a little bit of hoppiness. Still good.

@eppCOS already posted the song I wanted to, so here’s one summarizing my feelings with the kids not here.

Terrapin’s answer to Sweetwater’s G13 I guess. A little late jumping on the train here guys.

S’okay. Lot of hemp, dank aromas obviously. Taste is earthy dank hop profile, decent malt backbone, mildly bitter. Easy drinking, to say the least.

Wishful thinking for fall to get here so I’m starting on some horror movies.
