    Oktoberfresh from Zoiglhaus.

I didn't particularly care for the combination when I tried it a couple years ago, but its fresh hop pedigree was evident in the aroma and flavor.

I really liked the Zioglehaus OktoberFresh last year. I havent had their normal oktoberfest beer (do they make one??) so i cant speak to any improvements or detriments that the FH provide.

Zoiglhaus Fresh Hop Oktoberfest was one of my favorite fresh hop beers last year.

Looks like fresh hop Eliot got released today in both Portland and Beaverton. Looking forward to it, was my favorite last year.

    As promised.....

Straight from the source, and happy hour pricing to boot! Wow, the nose on this is pure wet hop goodness, and the flavor is bursting with hops. Between this and Occidental, FH season is off to a great start.

Added bonus, they already have cans ready to go

@derftron speaks truth. FH Eliot is, once again, a most excellent fresh hop beer.

Moar pints of FH Eliot with Mrs. vurt. And cans to take home.

The nose is enticing. The flavor is exceptional. And the hop burps, if I may, are exquisite.

Driving back home and up through Portland on the 31st. It sounds like FH Occidental Pils will be available then, but I'll have to keep my eyes out for Eliot as well!

It's definitely a fine line between getting that great fresh hop flavor and getting overwhelming onion. Level had a Fresh Hop beer last year that tasted like chewing on a Centennial hop....couldn't finish the beer.

Did you confirm with the distributors or the Brewery about the Occidental Fresh Hop? I would actually be surprised if there was any left and even then I would probably try to find a fresh hop beer that was brewed more recently. Fresh Hop beers start losing that amazing fresh flavor really really fast.

Unless I was transposing info for another beer, someone in another thread (I thought) had mentioned FH Occidental Pils would be available for a while.

Yes. As I mentioned earlier, according to the bartender at Occidental, they expect to have it around for a couple of months. At least.

FWIW, didnt get any onion with the FH Eliot. I am also very sensitive to the onion taste, but for some reason i think it a different hop that does it to me. any others that come to mind? sorachi ace???

Unless they are doing other hop variaties, this doesn't make very much sense. No brewery is going to hold onto fresh hop beers that long and when I stopped by last week, I got a very different answer in terms of production allotment.

A lot of folks get dill from Sorachi. I thought Simcoe was the onion/fish hop? Shrug.
