Event Horizon release date?

By drop I meant available. Sorry for any confusion. I'm now thinking that means something different than I thought it did haha.

 

I can confirm Sam's had it available at 3pm. I rolled in at 3:00 on the dot and 4 cases were being offloaded from the dolly to the shop floor. Got the first two bottles.

I don't get up to Charlotte much, but I am making an impromptu trip for thanksgiving as a change of plans and was wondering what would be the best bottle shop in the myers park area.

So, ORF is limit 4 usually, right? Are there more left over at the end sometimes? If so, I hope I get a taste on draft so I can decide whether I want more or not.

 

you are close to all of them. Brawley's is probably closest, but Common Market and Salud are just a few minutes drive. Drive to Noda and hit up Salud and stop by NoDa and Birdsong as well.

 

yeah, 4 for the first time through. No tellings if there will be any left over at the end. I'm going to be more than happy with my 4. Can't wait for this release. Event Horizon, ORF, Silent Night...perfect time of year.

 

Should be a yes on all three ... At last year's ORF and this year's BASC, me and a buddy got our 4 bottles each, then one of us went back for another 4, giving us 6 each. They should have ORF on tap that day as well as soon as the doors open at 10. I've actually enjoyed the bottles more than the draft. Then again, maybe that was a result of too much pre-drinking at Foothills!

As to the extra bottles, it seems like there has been a much smaller crowd since the shit-show that was BASC 2011 (which I missed). I don't think they went much past 250 bracelets for either of the two releases I've attended since then, meaning there were leftovers to be had. I know for a fact that there were around 6 cases of ORF 2011 to be had on Sunday. I sure wouldn't want to bet on that happening though.

 

Yeah, all except for the massive hit on the wallet right before Christmas!

 

I already have my EH fix, so I am mainly looking to re-up on some other locals and maybe a few OH brews such as the regular imp stout, 7 devils, etc. Looks like I can get my fix at Duckworths, but it may not be worth the hassle of battling the EH crowd as well.

 

Duckworths has plenty of 2011 and 2012 oh imperial stout bottles

 

Fellow BA Chris Black raised a good question on the Charlotte Beer Facebook page: any bottles of Seven Devils hanging around?

 

Not at ducks, we do have Daniel Boone bottles and 7 devils will be on tap
