Lots of folks get onion from Summit hops. Hadn't heard about any Simcoe tendencies to through those flavors.

Could well be Summit. I seem to remember it being an "S" hop.

Anywhooo, so far, no FH brewskis up here that I've seen (and, I been looking!), so sads.

Level FH Oktöberfest . Quite nice. Mellow maltiness and noticeable melon flavor from Hallertau hops from Goschie Farms

I'm just passing on what I was told. Have no idea if it's accurate. I hope it's accurate, but I don't have any inside or intimate knowledge.

Summit has an onion reputation , Simcoe’s reputation is cat piss(in the best way).

I do not like Summit hops. I can't handle that onion flavor in my beer.

That said, the beer in your avatar is a rare example of a beer with Summit hops that I actually like. I haven't had it in a bunch of years, but I remember the Summit character was pretty mild, and really worked well in conjunction with the rest of the ingredients.

Agreed regarding Dirty Hippie. Love that beer, been far too long since I've found it in my glass! Sadly that seems to be a frequent occurrence these days for the hoppy ambers/red IPAs.

Someone in another thread mentioned having their 3rd FH beer and it’s still August. Do y’all keep track of how many FH beers tried in a season?

I went a little crazy last year and am wondering if anyone else has beaten it before.

    Oh good heavens, no.

The wife and I love us some fresh hop beers. And last year we made it to the festivals in Hood River and Yakima.

But exceeding the noble, heroic efforts of Sharpski? No sir. Not even close.

I had Fresh Hop Eliot, Occidental’s FH Pils and Level’s FH Oktoberfest today. Don’t think I’d ever had Hallertau FH beer before, it was awesome.

Keep an eye out for FH True Gold with Strata. Should be getting packaged next week. I'm very excited to see what fresh Strata brings to the table.

Another tidbit I read - Fort George isn't doing Fresh this year. Sad because I really do love that one every year. Instead they are doing a fresh version of Fields of Green: Crosby Comet.

Hopefully on tap that same day it gets kegged, at least at the Milwaukie location. I'll update for sure when any of the FH beers go on.

I haven't been to the Milwaukie location in a year or two. Do they still have that awesome early week growler special?

All right, you assholes got me spoiled so I need a little help. I have a buddy heading to oregon next week, outside of fremont crux and the other usual suspects are there any other fresh hopped beers to be on the lookout for?
    Does this see distribution?
