Do people still line-up for Frooted releases? I want to go for lunch and grab my BA Roaming Elephant, but would prefer to avoid jostling for a seat if there’s going to be a ton of people for the Frooted release.

I would definitely expect a line at open today. Between BA Roaming Elephant bottle pick-up, Frooted Mango cans and BA Roaming Elephant on tap, people will be lining up.

You think there will be a line at open just for the taproom though? I don't care about the cans.

Since they are tapping BA Roaming Elephant, I would expect it to be busier than usual.

When did More change their policy of no reservations Friday - Sunday? Vividly remember making reservations multiple times for over the weekend when I won past lotteries/purchased tickets for bottle purchase. Kind of a silly move IMO.

Ugh really? Was hoping to do dinner with family and makes it much less likely to drive 30 minutes and have it be slammed.

i think it's been awhile. i know the past times in the past 2-3 months we couldn't make reservations.

also, for what it's worth, the last 3 times or so we've been there for dinner the service has been absolute dog shit. just inexcusably bad.

For those who eat dinner there frequently, if we were there around 5:30 tonight, should we expect a (significant) wait for a table?

Also, if anyone is there this afternoon and can check how long they expect it to last on tap, can you post here? Thanks.

Every time I've been there for dinner, the service has been bad at best, sometimes turrrrible. The food and beer are good enough to put up with it though.

Are they still trying to venture out from their traditional menu? I remember seeing on their Twitter that they introduced "elotes" and "chilaquiles" to their menu - both pictures of the food cracked me up. The elote was crazy burnt, like to a crisp, and the chilaquiles were sitting in a pool of runny liquid which I would assume was their "salsa".

I couldn't attest to the dishes being better in person, so maybe the cooks actually do know how to make them, but at least use decent pictures of them on social media.

I thought it was super smooth for 14% and 20 months of barrel aging. Lots of toffee, caramel flavors. Maybe a bit under carbonated with a medium mouthfeel, but that’s me comparing it to the very best barleywines I’ve had. Overall, I’d give it a 4.5/5.0.... very solid. Still not up there with King Henry, Anabasis b3 or BCBBW 13 or 14... but it’s in the next tier with Aaron and the such.

Could you taste the bourbon and previous beer in it?

I would agree with this. Pretty damn good. A bit undercarbed, but that isn't uncommon for things aged 20 months.
I mean, if you didn't tell me, I may not have picked out Mehndi. But if it was a first use barrel, I bet I could have picked it out.

And I thought Mango Frooted was fairly nasty. Waaayyyy to sweet. It could certainly be up some people's alley, but not mine.

Were they doing the 1 mini pour limit like with the stouts?

Don't they carb it after they pull it out of the barrels so aging time shouldn't have any bearing on carbonation?

    They can still undercarb it.
