I too grabbed a can from Bottles and Cans on Friday of Wake up Neo and laughed when I saw the "Keep Cold" verbiage on the can since it was sitting out on the floor. I think Toppling Goliath has the same issues where the packaging says keep cold, but who knows what happens once at the retailers. I doubt a couple of hours of warm beer did any damage to the beer which brings me to my next point:

I don't think Wake up Neo was ready for prime time. There were some astringent green flavors on Wake up Neo that should fade out and make for a more rounded beer in a few weeks, but I found there to be subtle weird flavors I haven't had in NEIPAs before. Immediately regretted opening it since it meant I was stuck drinking that beer for the night rather than a better option from the mixed 6 I got....

Well on the other hand I would love to try your beers and will certainly purchase them if stumbled across. Only problem is I’m in LZ and the fomo is not strong in this one. Any plans on distro making it further north?

beer temple does a good job of keeping all their triptych cold, scooped some neo on my last visit.

"tHe HoPs aRe tOo GrEeN".. gotta love it when the #newmoney folks cling onto a silly adjective. i got zero hop burn. just was hoping for a bit more in the dry hop aroma department. good balanced ne dipa and cool label.

Drinking a Neo (6/14/19) I picked up on the return from Scratch and White Rooster Father's Day weekend. I like it a lot. I can definitely taste a difference in cryo hopped beers, which may be the "off" flavors some taste. Not bad, just different. Also, as far as sweetness, this is less sweet, similar to PW and HA, rather than HB, which I find too sweet, generally. Just one guy's opinion.
BTW, if you haven't been and have a chance to go, White Rooster and Scratch are worth the trip. Unique beers and ingredients that in some cases defy style. Nothing special about WR's space, but excellent beer. Scratch is really very cool.

visited my grandma in peoria today and was able to pick up some triptych at friar tucks.

batch 600 is easily the best triple ive ever had. insanely thick and aromatic. this was canned 8/20. "and i think my spaceship" is right behind it. huge galaxy bomb, wonderful.

absolutely no idea if either will be dropped around town. this brewery has always impressed me, wish we got more of it up here.

Citra bomb? Or is the rebrew using galaxy rather than Citra?

batch 600 is a citra bomb. dude at Friar Tucks mentioned this was a rebrew. the can says citra only and I'm pretty certain I did not taste any galaxy.

Batch600 is a re-brew, same recipe, still all Citra. We thought after the kind-ish words we received in Craft Beer & Brewing's IPA issue, and because we still had some labels from the first run left over, we should try our luck at GABF with it.

Will this batch make its way to the Chicago market?

Some draft hit Crafted, Beermiscuous, The Beer Cellar and Iron&Glass. No cans this time, sorry, it was only a thirty barrel batch and cans were needed for our market down here.

Be honest...it's because Chicago refused to keep 'em cold!!!!

Nobody refused to keep them cold. There was an account or two that said they hadn't been told. Being honest, Chicago isn't our focus, we already don't have enough beer for our footprint in the middle of the state and I hate having uncomfortable discussions with our distributor about why they can't have more of a specific SKU yet they see it at XYZ shop in Chicago or the burbs.

Plus, continuing my honest streak, I didn't want to endure another one of your well-written but scathing reviews of my beer ;-)
