Savage reporting in- I'm sure quite a few people will be skipping that as it's a repeat, but my sense re: it lasting to Monday is that it may not because of the holiday weekend...

Yeah for the Hop Showers enthusiast who wouldn't be caught dead lining up for a 10% collab or buying PB&J "Berliners", this will be the amped up choix du jour to treat themselves with on LD weekend. Expect an influx of LI crusties towing roller suitcases late saturday morning

They make so much beer and have so many options that beers last till the following weekend often now.

I know these beers won’t sit long but I think it’s lasts into Friday evening. Am I crazy?

Yeah I'm thinking the hype is a bit exaggerated on this one.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Juice Ribbons last a few days?

Who puts fig, mango, or apricot on a PB&J?

When it comes to PB&J you rotate the berries, strawberry, blueberry, blackberry and cherry.

Also why do people who put the Queen on their money talk like pre-school kids. Jelly for jello, footie for football, dustbin for trash can, maths for math, ect...

I was just in England and Brits only drink beer called Old Bristol Speckled Dick, which has a 2% ABV and is served at 75 degrees, so it only costs 2 quid

Ah man. Miss that beer. Imperial pint too. Is there anything better than wrapping both hands round a warm Speckled Dick?

I remember Juice Ribbons lasting the better part of a week. But I feel like a new random Trillium collab thrown onto a standard release doesn't have the hype of the re-release of one of their most legendary beers, and then the Parish collab plus god knows what else is icing on the cake. I'll probably show on Saturday to try them on draft and get whatever cans straggle.

"Icing on the cake" is that the name of this week's stout?

Stuff stays around on draft way longer than cans. I'd imagine the taproom on Saturday might be packed due to the holiday weekend.

    Heathen!

Separately, and perhaps I'm the wrong person to trumpet this idea since I only buy OH cans once a quarter or so, but I really don't see a point ever trying to get a specific beer these days when any given week you can show up Monday/Tuesday and buy one of 5-14 (see today's Instagram story) beers available in the taproom. You'll find big stouts, lactosified shit bombs, hazedreams, hell maybe even a Cricket here and there. This TIPA Street Dream may be 5-10% "better" than their usual TIPAs, if that? What's the point if you're not trading/re-selling this thing? #getoffmylawn #wheresmyrollingsuitcase

The foregoing fruit spread discussion trafficked in some solid factual information, not to mention a few reasonable, if debatable, opinions; but it did unfortunately omit any discussion of a vital third category: preserves.

Because they are made with chunks of actual fruit, as opposed to the fruit pulp in jam and the fruit juice in jelly (or, lowest of the low, the fruit imitation in Jell-o), their fruit content is the highest. Accordingly, one could argue that they're the purest form of fruit spread, if not always the one you want to be laying down on your toast or PB sandwich.

To bring this full circle, there are by my count at least 8 non-essential beer ingredients in that forthcoming "Berliner Weisse." Now, I'm all for experimentation, creativity, and liberality with definitions, but is that perhaps 2-3 adjuncts too many?

I understand the craft beer scene has veered into farce, with consumers being at least as responsible as brewers, but can we please consider a new form of the Reinheitsgebot which stipulates a new maximum of, let's say, 10 ingredients? Otherwise, this'll only continue to be a laughable race to the bottom.

0% chance I haul my rolling bag out of my basement and hauling it to Other Half for a Trillium collab. Even a 90% of seeing @rozzom as he endlessly does his Other Half loop and having him throw me some singles is not enough.

so I'm hearing there's going to be another beer being released by other half that they still hasn't announced. Hear it's going to be another parish collab/pastry stout. Anyone else hear about this, and if so do you know what adjuncts will be used?
