I was waiting for someone to mention preserves, blackberry preserves are my fav
This made me laugh too hard and I also love a good Harry Potter reference

    [Pitchfork being sheathed]

    No jealousy here.

    a) if the beers I had at Green City were anything to go by, I'm good
    b) "sweet white wine grape flavored gummy bears" - translation: "shit went horribly wrong somewhere in the brewing process"

guys guys - the tosed up citra is for my wife who has the quintessential hazegirl basic palate.

obviously i will be in the lotus position in the middle of a meadow drinking suarez - in complete silence

I want to ask the @rozzom of 2016 if AGE was a real beer.

Was 2016 the OG recipe? If so that beer was too real for me.

Also I realize that I’ve become the Treehouse Erection (that’s a BA user not a haze side effect, for anyone that doesn’t follow the TH thread) of the BA thread. So going to take a step back and reevaluate over LD weekend.

Hopefully the new Sand City location will level up the typical long island palette.

Must have missed this - as someone who periodically escapes to Sand City while visiting the in laws in Northport, please tell me the original location will stay in tact.

That As Is takeover has Berry Berry Compote Compote on the list, I know it's definitely #notrealbeer but damn I did really enjoy the one can I had. Wouldn't hate a second run.

Yeah, for anyone else sitting this release out (like me) the collabs will be there.

I mean its not like they're going to kick all the draft for the collabs this weekend as well, As Is's pricing is absurd, you'll be paying close to double.

I expect this level of snarkiness from our resident hazepecker, you are too good for this. Let the record state, the current OH BA palate standard bearer currently resides from Brooklyn and can’t even tell the difference between a beer with tose and without, in spite of the fact he hates tose.

The reigning champ from Long Island crushed the HF/OH taste test displaying a superior palate, even at his advanced age.

Clearly the schools in Brooklyn do not measure up to the schools on Long Island based on the word you use to describe the thing that helps us appreciate great beer :stuck_out_tongue: !

Don’t worry @afroskully - not surprising that the dry-witted insult went over his head.

And sorry @jrnyc - who crowned you champion? Several of us got both taste tests right. No first prizes for being old.

You give him too much credit.

I won the right to crown myself champion of anything soon after the finish of the Spanish-American war. And for the record unlike most of you interlopers I was born in Brooklyn.

I’m not above the occasional LI bashing. I sit in enough traffic headed that way to have earned the occasional island snark, just as Brooklyn-bound islanders have earned similar city bashing rights.

And I totally used the right spelling. Isn’t Sand City opening a “Pinot’s Palette”-esque beer sipping/painting establishment targeted to the 55+ suburbanite demographic?

Don't sell yourself short. You're far more clever than that fellow, even if your wattage outputs and RBC counts are both high enough to raise several red flags.

But taking time and space to reflect and do an honest cost-benefit analysis of your participation in this site is a wise move. Places like this, and most of the tech that's being churned out, can be fucking vortices. I've struggled with that in the past myself, and I wonder if your previous temporary bans didn't strike you as blessings when it was all said and done? A moment's reprieve, perhaps?

I can't offer an authoritative definition of what a "real" beer consists of these days, because my opinion is particular only to me, but I do know that life is better lived in the moment, with our full attention, and face-to-face. That, I believe, is universally true.
