    Y
    Your time will come, grasshopper.

How was the Parish collab? I selfishly want to provide my friend that I was supposed to pick some up for with bad reviews.

@Tallerboy I too have only the stripe of a deleted post.

@BoardwalkBock, Parish beer was better than Trillium except the stout which was just liquid candy.

Finally, drinking my last can of Eternal Daydream... creamy apricot, bitter green finish... so damn good. Hope this gets into regular rotation. Which suddenly made me wonder: what are the beers that Creepy Owner Guy felt they nailed or even exceeded their expectations on, the masses' opinions be damned? What's the beer they've brewed several times but are still trying to perfect? These are the questions interviewers should be asking!

Wish I could provide, but the half a can I had was pretty tasty. Still green, but it'll probably be amazing come mid-September.

They do indeed, if you're moving to the area I couldn't recommend more enthusiastically making them a regular spot.

The owner and staff are great too, and the music selection feels like you never left OH.

    Place looks totally legit.

But - sorry if being dense - they have a proper hook up / relationship with OH? Or someone is going to releases and then reselling at the bar?

Honestly I’m not positive, but Franco from OH works there most Mondays and Tueadays so that makes me feel like they’re not doing anything they’d have an issue with.

Actually, except when it's directed at those who are misusing power and persecuting others, it's one of our worst. I'd rank it well above profligacy and hegemonic overreach but wholesale irreverence isn't exactly a virtue. It's a bludgeon for the uninformed, thoughtless, and insecure.

Wouldn't it be wiser to draw the line at those who actually deserve it, like the callous, vicious, and deliberately ignorant? Presumably you don't ridicule the handicapped and disadvantaged, or those ethnic and social minorities who have it tough enough as is? Lord knows there are plenty of bigots out there doing that already, but to mock others just because they don't like the same things you do, or act the same way, or have the same values can be just as pernicious. I recognize this discussion is happening in the lowly context of a beer-based message board, but that habit sets the wrong tone, establishes the wrong mindset, and all-too-easily bleeds into other things.

    Takeaways from my OH haul:

The “low key” OH “sleepers” are where it’s at (for my preference).

Forever ever (motueka+sabro) and florets (was that a silent release btw?) > Nelson daydream > hop showers > dbl citra daydream

    Haven’t had HDHC mosaic yet

ForeverEver is just a straight Motueka lemon bomb with a lil “cream” and complexity form sabro on the finish

Florets the mosaic and blanc combined for a southern hemi -like hop profile. Slightly tart profile is lovely.

Hop shower (citra cryo+Amarillo) has that generic citrusy thing going on - in the best way possible. It’s so good at being average that it’s above average. As it warms it evolves nicely into an orange tropical cream as Amarillo mingles with mosaic.

DDH mosaic daydream comes off a lil differently than many Nelson’s I love but is still great. Got a ton of artificial grape drink flavors mixed in with a some more real white grape. Lactose could be adding that candy to the grape. Leaned a bit American moasic-y vs that signature southern hemi Nelson twang I love. Could be their hand selected crop too.

Dbl citra daydream: an 8.5%er with lactose just isn’t my pref. I know it’s the crowd fav but just didn’t do it for me. Definitely executed in the “oat cream” thing as it’s creamy and sweet. Also citra has just gotta a lil boring for me.

Side note: Years ago citra used to rip but I wonder if being the most popular hop and having. Increased production has changed its character.

Disclaimer: my general preference is any hops southern hemi>American, and lean mosaic > citra, And also give a nod to new novel and/or less familiar hops that add variety to the game.

    You??

I had Florets for the first time this week, and it was a huge surprise. Will definitely be looking to get cans when it comes out next time.

At the risk of this post being lost in the fray/condemned for being too positive, the Beergarden event hosted by the OH guys in North Brooklyn Farms was the best beer event I've ever been to. Thank you. Beers /location combo was unbeatable and the bottle share was incredible. So, so good.
