I had asked a few Newbies (@Satch44 included with the last post) for a special GPIUFMB as I was traveling to meet some friends in Maine, who happen to love NEIPAs. I also need a few beers to share at their get together, so the more the merrier. @HeartofMiami came through with a healthy dose of 3 Sons and OTHER FL goodies, as well as some extras on top of that! Thanks again Jared! @Franfab was able to snag me some more recent Hop Butcher release after I met with @Satch44 and also tossed in a couple doubles that Ryan got me as well. Thanks again Frank! While I was away on my long weekend in Maine, I had an unexpected thank you box land from @Elkevjoe and @Elneenee. A wrapped dickbutt, a blind bottle that was supposed to be for the Newbies Anniversary #vbs, and a couple other Ohio goodies. Thanks again you twos, completely unnecessary but greatly appreciated
And while I was in Maine, @Bstagnone was gracious enough to make the drive to get that handshake and do a little brewery hopping. He also did not travel empty handed! Thanks again Brett, it was great meeting you, and your better half as well!
Another week, another crushing put on by @locoformavs. I asked for 1, maybe two cans, and he send me a freakin 10pk of Colorado goodness, and a Monkish. Because why not . Thanks again Logan, safe travels on your vacation... get home soon But that wasn't the only package this past week, as @BartS ninja'd the hell out of me with some unexpected return fire. One hell of a mix of Cali goodness, which isn't long for this world. Completely uncalled for Bart! Thanks again, can't wait to see you in November!
It's about that time again, so to do it right we're having another SIX DAYS OF NEWBIE HALLOWEEN!!! The requirements: Six wrapped vessels of beer and 6 candy pairings to be enjoyed from October 26 (Saturday) - October 31 (Thursday), 4.0+ on BA or untappd, unless it is a want of your target. Beer must be from outside your target's distribution. Extras are not required, but if you feel the need to send on some more beer than required, please limit to 20 max. As with past years' Halloween BIF, each shipper will provide their target with six individually wrapped beers (bottle, can, growler, etc). Each of these packages will be tagged with the order and/or date on which they should be opened, and each day the target will open the designated package for that day, take a photo and post it, and I guess drink some beer. Minimum ~100 oz. of beer. I trust your judgement, but since the number of beers is limited, we should probably try to avoid a box of exclusively small format beers. Feel free to double up small format beers for a single day, verticals are always fun! This is open to any past participants or lurkers. New Newbies looking to join with fewer than 5 positive trades will require a sponsor - if that's you, just speak up and we'll figure something out! The timeline: Since there were some issues with boxes being on time in the past, please try to be ahead of the game this round and have your box in your target's hands on or before October 19. I am setting the deadline a little earlier this year than normal as I plan to sneak in a Christmas round as well, so plan accordingly if you wish to join either! Name, shipping address, and cellphone number Shirt size (just in case...swag is not required, but is certainly not prohibited) Any 'Do Not Ship' dates (i.e. you’ll be out of town) Untappd username Style likes/dislikes I have decided to change the pairings up this round, and I am making return fire possible, but no repeat targets. That means if you have sent a box to someone in the past, they may possibly be your sender this round, but you will not be sending to a person you have in past BIFs!
Also, I'd like to close the sign-ups by next Friday, Sept 13th so that I can work on the pairings over the weekend and maximize your stalking/buying time!
