    Are you telling me long winded stories with lots of asides aren't the best way to relay a pleasing experience? :stuck_out_tongue:

    I'm a talker, but when it comes to beer, I'm more of a listener. When I'm at a brewery, chances are I'm familiar with their beers and a little of their history. I don't think someone's first trip to the brewery or their beer choice should be influenced by "here's what I like."
    What are their likes? What did they want to experience at the brewery? Occasionally (rarely) I come across someone like myself who will pay $12 for an 8oz pour or want the quadruple hopped IPA, but when I do it's awesome. More often it's "From what you've shared, I bet you'd really like the ___." Or maybe "I've sampled the ___. My opinion of it is __, but everyone has their own tastes."
    Avoid telling people what to like, or expecting them to like beers you like. I find most beer drinkers in a craft beer forum are pretty advanced in their tastes. That doesn't make us snobs, but it does make us different.

    Why didn't you just bring the baby/car seat with you? Would that have been frowned upon?

    Or he could have just omitted the off-topic "baby left in the car" part of the story out of his Beer Advocate post.:rolling_eyes:

    Maybe this makes me a bad father, but my first thought was not: “How could you leave your kid in the car while you grabbed a drink? That is dangerous.” It was: “How could you leave your kid in the car while you grabbed a drink? What if someone took a photo and posted it on the internet? Everyone is an informant today. Your life would be ruined.”

    Either way: prudence.

    Indeed, in AZ they toss you in jail or you get a serious fine for doing this including child services becoming involved to check on the child, etc. It basically ruins your life and in my eyes it should, there is really zero excuse for this, none.

    Summing up your post, your child fell asleep in your car and you and your wife decided to go drinking and let her sleep alone in a car? Then your both, who now consumed alcohol drove her home when you were done boozing and sharing memories? LOL parent of the year award there!
    Thanks for sharing :astonished::astonished:

    Getting back to you, no sir the dick would be the parent who left their child in a car to go drinking then the parent who now under the influence drove her home.
    Think you got your wires crossed on dick.... Thanks though.

    Bizarre the turn this thread took.
    I think we need 6-7 more "Do u like the NEIPA trend?" palate cleanser posts instead.

    It's just a shame that the people who order flights weren't left in the car, too.

    surely he meant she fell asleep in the car, so they took the sleeping child with them to the patio...

    To be fair, if my friends pass out in the car at a brewery, I'm still going in without them....

    So the overall message I got was sharing an expierience trumps hording and snobbery. I, as well as many other BA’s I am sure, were left to sleep in cars while our parents had drinks with friends back then. Look, we all turned out just fine. :wink:
