I didn't read through all the back and forth between people who clearly can't get a joke and people who clearly love making them... BUT Westkill has great stuff, so had to get that in there

 

Didn’t make it in the end. As the crow flies got fairly close, but was still going to be a fairly reasonable drive and I’d spent all my marital/paternal beer tokens on Suarez and getting in a few long runs. Definitely plan on hitting it next time @Xerlic

 

We stayed like a 10 min drive from Westkill on our Ski/Snowboard trip last winter, was def worth the stop if you are close enough.

Don't let the barbarians on this thread drag you down. We need some of this intellectual thought to counter balance the general inaneness this thread typically delivers.

 

If somehow DDH Space Diamonds is released in addition to DDH ACE and DDH Mylar, would be the greatest week in Other Half history!

 

Apologies if this ground has been tread already, but when referring to the "Roc beers", how are we pronouncing "Roc"?

I realize I've been going with 'rock' but presumably it should actually be 'roch'.

Perhaps this is a worthy digression.

 

"Roch" would be appropriate as an affectionate name for a sister-brewery in upstate NY that carries its own weight and shares nicely

"Rock" would be appropriate for a millstone round the necks of Brooklyn locals; a parasitic upstate brewery that has leeched beers away from their true home, and now that it's actually brewing beers, barely reciprocates - like getting blood from the proverbial stone.

So Rock is correct and is what I've been saying in my head since day one.

Per Instagram it looks like Carmine Street will have cans for their anniversary this weekend and cans were posted at BeerRun.

 

Looks like their standard DDH DIPAs are around 290, which is slightly less than what I thought they'd be

 

They're just ballparking all similar styles. They have no more of an idea than anyone else about the exact number.

 

Yeah play it safe and assume that ACE you're crushing this weekend is four hundo

 

It doesnt even list a serving size

 

I usually play it safe and pretend the calories don't exist.

 

What is this line all of you seem to get "ON"? Is everybody standing on top of one another? Is there a line painted on the sidewalk everyone follows? Is it because the "i" and "o" are right next to each other on the keyboard? Just curious, never been "ON" a line before.

On a more serious note though, what has happened to the stouts coming out of OH here recently? For a while there I thought OH had finally turned a corner with their dark offerings and over the last few months I feel like they have taken a step back. Anyone else feel this way?
