Sierra Nevada Sampler Pack

The one with the Vienna Lager? Someone posted it was Costco only.

 

Worth asking.

It's those retailers who have to order stuff from a wholesale distributor who buys from Sierra Nevada and who have to get it in stock for us to be able to buy. I work with a guy (retailer) who claims he can get me a case of any packaged beer brought into the state of PA.

 

Picked up the regular 12 pack sampler for $14.49. It's nice to be reunited with some old friends that I haven't seen nor tasted for quite some time. I enjoyed all of them. 3 Weight packs a hop punch for a 4 percent beer. Flipside makes you ask, we aren't more breweries making red IPAs?

 

It's not Costco only in Wisconsin.

 

Kinda bummed 5 of the 6 beers are some variation of IPA. Vienna (for those of us with no access to the 24 pack) and Tumbler will be missed this fall.

 

Agreed. I want a 12 pack with 3 Oktoberfest, 3 Vienna, 3 Tumbler, and 3 Flipside. We can skip the Pale Ale - great beer, obviously, but a fall pack with those 4 specific to their own fall history would be awesome.

 

Not a bad idea and I called one place and they said that they can't get it. I will ask around but expect not to be able to, oh well.

 

I did run into the new Sampler pack and for the price (well, at least by our standards here in PA ha ha) I picked it up. So far I have had Hop Bullet and Torpedo, both I haven't had in a while. Torpedo is not my favorite but surprisingly I liked it more than HB and Torpedo is one balanced bigger IPA, may have to drink it a little more frequently.

Looking forward to drinking the rest and Flipside was an old favorite so can't wait to have it again.

 

@SierraTerence a huge mistake by not making the Oktoberfest/Vienna/PA/Flipside more widely available, as I would buy a ton of it (truckloads even ). I am going to keep trying to get a hold of it in PA but for my friends in DE, is it anywhere there by chance?

 

I enjoyed 3 Weight, agree with you it punches above its weight class.

Right? Luckily the time of year to back up the truck for Nosferatu is almost here. Will definitely pick up this SN pack if I see it. They are pretty good at putting out enough mixed packs each year to give everyone something worth buying.

 

I find anyone not liking Torpedo makes me irrationally distraught. Gonna go cry now.

@SierraTerence why do the bean counters at SN think we wouldn't want to buy this? Is there just so much Sidecar left over that the Sampler pack is our only variety pack choice?

Six packs of Sidecar are selling for $5.25 at one store near me. It's from December '18 but for $5.25...

Hop Hunter from this past June is also selling for the same price, I was tempted to grab some to see what it tastes like.
