Quarterly check-in on how long cans are lasting these days (sorry in advance): I'm headed to Burlington on Saturday, but probably won't be there before 2:00ish. How quickly do the daily allotments sell out?

It looks like they are releasing a Pilsner (case limit), fruited sour (case), Pavement (4 x 4), and Tree of 100 years (4 x 4).

    Thanks!

I know this isn’t an exact answer but I was able to buy around 8 different beers this past Saturday around 7:00 pm. I lost a few though due to carelessness and wet cardboard. :astonished:

It’s brew fest weekend and foam will be packed so who knows. Without brewfest you would be fine getting there around 2

We got cans at open on Friday. We were back later in the day from 4-8pm or so. None of the cans had run out at that time.

But, as mentioned above, brew fest weekend is a completely different story.

Thanks for the responses guys. Much appreciated.

Worst case, I'll end up with some delicious Vt. beer that's not from Foam.

I was there yesterday at noon and there was a plentitude of cans that had lasted the weekend.

I’ll be up next Friday night and was wondering if they would have cans as well. Do they usually have to go cans? I went up once on a Saturday night and they had like 8 different cans to go but have no idea when they released them

I'm on a somewhat similar schedule, coming up Saturday rather than Friday and have the same question. One thing to keep in mind is that there seems to be a rather large music festival going on this weekend, and I think it's very near the Foam location. I would expect larger traffic.

Good luck and I can't wait to try Foam for the first time regardless!

Just noticing now the spelling of your handle so perhaps you're going up for that festival and so therefore my note is hardly helpful...

I’ll be up next weekend, going to hill Farmstead festival the next day. Should have made that more clear but appreciate the response regardless

First ever foam experiences, which may be helpful to some: I got to Burlington on Saturday (the 20th) around 2:00. They had sold out of two of four releases, but I was able to get Pavement and Tree of 100 Years. The bartender told me "things are pretty tame here for a Saturday," but after Saturday they were sold out of cans for the week, so there was definitely a brew fest impact.

On Friday, we swung by the annex in Hinesburg at 4:30ish, and they had a ton of beer and it was quiet. The lone worker said he was there from 4:00 until either 7:00 or selling out, but then added that it was almost always 7:00. So, that may be a better option if anyone is south or east of Burlington.

Really solid beers, but there're no shortage of other options in Vermont. Cheers.

Unsure of the best place to post this, but I have 2 tickets to the Foam Funk on the Water this weekend and won't be able to use them. General admission, just want to get money back on em. If this should go elsewhere please let me know. Thanks!

Will tomorrow be a mess or will it be pretty easy going?

Just curious if anyone had a sense of how much growler fills are at Foam?

Not looking like I'll be visiting from Canada on a weekend for a release so will likely miss cans.

Assuming more in line with Hill Farmstead than Fiddlehead prices?

    Thanks!

They pretty much have cans everyday, especially once the summer tourist season slows down. Growlers are a little more than hill or fiddle, I think around $15-$20

Is this pretty much the case now? like if they drop cans on Friday, am I good rolling through on Saturday to nab something from that release?

Last September (admittedly a year ago) we went on a Friday and had 6 options. That day's release plus several prior days. From passively following this year, I don't think anything has changed. In September you have the advantage of in between "summer" and leaf tourist seasons.

and assuming I am one of those leaf tourists in a few weeks, does that change things?? :smirk::laughing:

The beer (and tourist) scene definitely picks up once you get to last weekend of September / first couple of October. I don't think it's dramatic, but I've found this past weekend and the next two to be the sweet spot for crowd avoidance. That's a generic Northern VT comment, not FOam specific necessarily.
