saw this at the store yesterday...

very cool bottle. $35 for 1.5L, though, and it's the same beer.

I'm considering it, but not sure yet what I'd do with the bottle.

I saw this tonight for the first time. 20 euro a bottle....didn't seem to be anything special other than a neat oversized bottle with a different label.

Marketing and Merchandising (part of marketing) are a wonderfully powerful thing.

We do NOT buy things on a price per ounce basis... Looks cool.

Bought one. Plan on breaking it out at a buddies wedding. His dad is a HUGE homebrewer, and appreciates great beer!

I got one as well. Looks great in the collection and because I'm not craving to open it...look forward to trying it several years from now.

oh, I don't mean the beer...of course I'll drink that. I mean the bottle afterwards. you know, like the center of something like this...

I wish there was a "dislike" button, solely for the purpose of envy....except for all those coronas and Heinekens....

I'm a fan of abt 12--at about $20 per 1.5L. I suspect a lot of purchasers envision monks and dank cellars.

    Probably wouldn't buy.

I certainly do. It's the reason I buy a six-pack (72 ounces) of Anchor's Christmas each year instead of the Magnum (51 ounces), which actually costs more.

Larger formats typically age better. so thats one reason to pay more.
