lactose made it on the label of this one but not OC. It also isn't in the description. Are milk sugar and lactose truly interchangeable or is there any difference at all?

No difference. Milk sugar sounds better to the layman- would you rather drink something containing milk sugar (mmmmmhmmmm) or something containing what sounds like an artificial chemical, lactose?

Yeah, lactose absolutely sounds like you just threw a cow teet in my beer

Curious to hear what others think.

I thought it was tart strawberry and not a ton of lactose (or whatever we're going to call it). Sort of like a cross between Strawberrry M-43 and Strawberry Marbles. Or maybe my palate is broken. *shrug*

I'm finding this very similar to Strawberry Marbles, but with the vanilla dialed back and a few more grassy IPA notes. Very impressed with this one.

    I’m gonna call BS.
As in, if Hop Butcher ever made a Blazed Strawberry (get it?) I’d imagine it would taste like this. I really don’t taste hops in Strawberry Marbles, but in BO and this I do.

Yeah I need to taste hops in an “IPA”.

For me, added fruit shouldn’t be necessary in this style. The hops should do the work.

Aroma and initial taste remind me of Strawberry Marbles (not quite as pink in color). The finish is certainly hoppy and you can pick out those mosaic notes. It’s really good if you like your milkshakes more on the ipa side

Got little to know strawberry. Mostly hops at the front and vanilla at the back. Disappointing after how balanced and good Orange chantillay was

Discussion of “Beef Dipped” belongs in the HB thread.

Hoping to do a side-by-side of strawberry marbles, M-43, and chantilly tonight or tomorrow. I’ll report back my findings.

That doesn't belong in any thread here. No one wants to know where you dipped your beef.

Would be good to throw in a Mr Shakey as well to that mix

I never understood the draw of this place, to be honest. I lived in the area for years, and always saw dozens of people lined up out the door, so that piqued my interest. I tried them twice, to make sure the first time wasn't an off night, and was severely underwhelmed.

Anyway, I did a side-by-side of Strawberry Chantilly and Mr. Shakey Strawberry. The latter was the clear winner, and by a huge margin.

Likewise will be doing a Mr Shakey Strawberry & Strawberry Chantilly side by side, and Strawberry Rhubarb for science. Need Hop Butcher to put out a Strawberry Milkshake IPA, don't think they have yet.

Ribbit was a strawberry milkshake, but it also had lime.
