DC/MD/NoVA Beer Updates (2019)

Chill out with the acronyms guys.

 

Thanks to whomever recommended/posted Von Trapp, nice change of pace from the all the breweries who are focused on IPAs and fruited/adjunct filled beers.

 

What are the 3!?

 

Fremont Rusty Nail, Fremont Coffee Cinnamon B-Bomb, and Lawson's Triple Sunshine. Great memories, even if they are a bit hazy.

 

Have Anyone compiled a local breweries octoberfest calendar ? I know Solace's is this weekend.

 

DCBeer.com has really upped their game on their calendar.

 

Seems like NRG will be opening a beer/food hall in Capitol Hill. I am beyond excited.

Huge array of lagers? I'm in.

 

Huge weekend for can drops. Equilibrium @ Brew Shop, Other Half @ DTC & Craft Beer Cellar, , and like 4 other breweries at the Bruery

 

Also Barreled Souls tomorrow at Dominion in Falls Church.

 

Last minute trip to visit family this weekend. Looks like I am there for a decent weekend beer wise. Any idea how long OH might last at CBC? Do I have to pack a camping chair or can I roll in at 10:15 and be ok?

 

No clue but the last time the Bruery had an OH can popup on a weekend there was a line around the block and probably sold out in 5 hours. On the other hand the randomly announced DTC popups are much more managable.

I'd expect a line at CBC. Worst comes to worst if they sell out you can hit Brew Shop in Arlington for Equilibrium cans. By the looks of their Insta story they have a bunch of cases.

 

Also on an unrelated note I wish this DTC drop would happen already. Have nothing to do at work today in Bethesda and just sitting here waiting to head up there instead of going back home to DC then driving back up.

 

The EQ morning teaser release sold out real quick. When I got there at 11:20, they only had Photon left. I think they were only selling a case or two of each brand, but damn. I might head back later to get other brands.

 

Rolled through CBC around 4pm and they still had all of the OH stuff. Good shit.

 

Plenty of Other Half at Downtown Crown.

 

Do you know which ones? I saw they had Stacks on Stacks this past weekend - might run up there to grab.

 

Hill Farmstead tap takeover at Churchkey today. I am so sad that I am missing it.

 

That is good to know. Might stop by tomorrow for whatever is leftover.
