I absolutely love their beers, but I also absolutely hate their pricing point.

Agreed and I hate the format too. I've tried two versions and unless I see one of the more hyped varieties I'm probably done. For roughly the price of 3.5 eclipses, I got a case of Underground Mountain Brown.

The EC done in 18 yr old barrels in White Wax is worth the money imo.

These definitely look gimmicky, except ... well, everything I've ever had in the BBB series has been phenomenal at worst. I'd expect every one of these to be excellent.

We see plenty in the Sac area as well. Hell, I even remember seeing Baptista on the shelves at World Market, $14/bottle.

Honestly imo Baptista is the best of the bunch, sorry it won’t be around this year. All of those variants sound great, I hope to grab 2-3 of them.

On a side note the double barrel, reserve and quad barrel have been a little lackluster in their flavor and seem disjointed to me. I enjoy Epic and will definitely search these new beers out, except the quintuple.

my sentiments as well. enjoyed Baptista far more than triple, reserve or quadruple.

curious about the PB as that is very hard to execute well

Guess I’m in the minority here in that I like regular old BBB the best... then again- coffee is the only extra flavor I want in my stouts.

All the others have been great though fwiw

Not hard to find in the Bay Area.

Disappointed to see no Baptista this year. It is deserving of the high marks it receives.

Not to worry though as Epic has some appealing Baptist offerings. There are a couple I am really interested in, Vanilla Brandy and Chocolate Rapture.

My local shop just got them in but this place is notorious for insane mark-ups so I'm expecting at least $25 per bottle. Not sure if I'm willing to go that high considering I've not been impressed with BBB in the last 2 or 3 years.

The one that intrigued me the most was the Vanilla Brandy variant, but I also picked up Quintuple.

Tried the Vanilla Brandy, and if that is any indication, all of these should be world-class brews. Especially at these price points; the reason why I only bought two.

That said, the Vanilla Brandy is indeed world class and just what I was hoping for. It is very good.

If Quintuple is also just as good, or even close, I'll pick up the remaining variants.

So far have had 4 out of 5 variants.
Chocolate Rapture is the only one left for me to try. IMO I feel Vanilla Brandy is my top fav followed by Quintuple, Peanut Butter Cup, then Vanilla Latte. At 15.99/bottle why not. Looking forward to Chocolate Rapture. :beers:

I've only seen 2 so far. The Chocolate Rapture hit my palate just right. The Peanut Butter Cup could have used more peanut butter flavour but was very good.

I really wanted to try the Vanilla Brandy but I can't find it close to me here in LA. My local has a bunch of the Chocolate Rapture and Vanilla Hazelnut.

Ok, I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices at my store. Only $18.99 per bottle. Picked up the Chocolate Rapture and the Vanilla Hazelnut.

I've had them all so far since I got them into my store. The Baptista was so far the best variant they've made in terms of the expression of flavors promised on the label. These 5 weren't bad, I just wanted more from them in respects to what they said they had in them. Good but not as EPIC as I was expecting.
