Ouch $24 a 4 pack! I remember the days when 4 tasters were $5 in total!

Yes I am very excited for this beer to be back. I loved the first batch.

This release is basically as good as it gets for the anti-tose crowd. I really enjoyed ‘Did I Make Myself Clear?’ the first time around. HDHC AGE should also be great despite the price tag

It's good, but I'll take the Citra+Galaxy, Mylar, Stacks, ACE release 2 weeks ago, unless you're (reasonably) discounting that release because the notose crowd is also scared away by collabs like the HV beer.

I'm surprised OH hasn't played around with All Green and Hop Showers in the same way they've played around with the single hop beers.

8.5% version of All Green Everything? Triple Hop Showers? Baby Showers? All Dream Everything? DDH Hop Showers with cream cheese? Still a lot of uncharted territory.

There would be a legitimate revolt if they fucked with the already perfect HS. I know this because I would be the one leading the revolt.

Anyone heard any updates on the Williamsburg or DC locations? Are we going to charter a bus for a Rochester meetup one day, or maybe @rozzom can pull us in a trailer with his bike?

I heard about a year for both DC and Williamsburg, apparently the progress is pretty much neck-and-neck for both.

If the construction speed of the various other new brooklyn taprooms is any indicator, OH williamsburg should be open sometime in 2025

By all accounts the DC developer isn’t necessarily the easiest to deal with (relative to the industry; obviously developers aren’t easy by definition)

The building the Williamsburg location will be housed in was profiled in this recent NY Times piece, where it was mentioned that commercial tenants will start to move in early next year. I go by the site every day, and while there's plenty of work left to do, the tower crane was recently removed and an Other Half move-in sometime in 2020 certainly seems within reach.*

The article also mentions that the building's distinctive facade was modeled after the molecular structure of sugar crystals as an homage to its construction on the Domino refinery site. But if you look closely, I think you'll see that the exterior surrounding Other Half's space bears an uncanny resemblance to a notorious disaccharide which I'm sure I needn't name.

    *Standard disclaimer about pure speculation.

What would people’s “perfect but semi-realistic release” be? So subject to the following constraints to make it somewhat believable:

    • Five beer release
    • Only beers that have been made before
    • Must include a single IPA, double IPA, and a big (12%+ ABV) stout
    • Across the five beers, the following minimum elements need to exist: a collaboration, a lactose addition, two other additions (so something other than lactose - almonds, ‘nilla, wild Thai bananas etc). At least one of these elements should be present in at least three of the beers (so you can’t just do a blueberry crunchee collab with weldwerks and make that the sole off balance sheet write off beer, allowing all others to be worthy of the hop showers club), but you can do more than that if that’s your jam.
    • No anniversary/pastrytown/green city-specific beers (since this is a “wow this would be amazing if this was next weekend’s release” scenario)
    So mine would be:

Double Citra Daydream (very hard decision not to have ACE, but I’d rather have double citra and space diamonds, than ACE and space daydream)
    Space Diamonds
    Hop Showers (+ Simcoe)
    All Infinity Everything
    Double Sunset (Brazilian one)

Yeah man. But three beers have to be tainted by at least one of the collab/tose/two flavor additions requirements
