    Well, that damn tropical storm finally decided to wreck havoc in Houston today. The outer bands were fairly bad yesterday, but manageable. This morning places of Houston were getting 5-6 inches in an hour. I took a half day today, so finishing up my latest six pack of Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest this afternoon.

    And listening to some early REM, which has always been good rainy day music for me for some reason...

    I'm sharing a Troegs LaGrave with Wifey. It's in the style of a triple golden ale. It's bottle conditioned and sold in a caged & corked 12.7 ounce bottle. It is slightly hazed and bright golden in color with a nice white head that leaves excellent lacing. It smells & tastes of yeasy bread, spices such as pepper & coriander and has a nice floral note in the flavor as well. Wifey really liked it, which gives it a bump up in my rating of it as well, because I really like to be able to share a beer with her, and she's, ummm....particular.
