the initial ratings of BVC on untappd (la coterie party) are absurd. straight 5s, comparing it to D9 (to which it’s not even on the same city block). classic example of “in the moment” rating. rating excitement and exclusivity not beer.

 

Those are fair comments

 

I like to call “in the moment” ratings drunk ratings, or perhaps “I’ve tried 30 beers at the event today, my mouth is fried, but this 1/4oz pour tastes good right now so I’m giving it a high score” ratings.

 

And...people traded big, right in that moment, based on those ratings.

It works. Plain and simple, and thus, people do it. Which was the OPs initial point.

 

There are plenty of members who had BVC after the party and still say it’s better than D9.

I don't agree with them but BVC is still good.

 

BVC was better with a month or so on it.

Not close to D9 for me either though.

Just gonna go ahead and say it. I thought morning vibes was cloying AF. Good but way too damn sweet.

 

I liked it, but I do prefer a little more roastiness

Praying to the beer gods that when my MIL can stop by to grab me a bottle around 1 that there are still some left. Friend fell through, now I'm asking her to fend off neckbeards for me. Bless her heart.

Pics started on FB around 8ish. Line looked half way up the driveway then but didn't snake the parking lot.

 

Sigh... I have a feeling I won't be getting either of these then... Definitely not trading for them with the secondary value placed on these in Chicago lol

 

I hear ya. Was hoping to catch some leftovers at the cellar but by the looks of it, I'll just stay in Wisco and drink the Fuzzy that's in my fridge.

 

So, I just got here the line at the brewery is about 4ish blocks long. I just went over to the cellar instead. Maybe a hundred or more here. Parking is tough.

 

Line has snaked twice and heard around 600 ish but that seems high by the looks of things

 

Well the worst part is for the first time i had people that could stop and grab me one, but not until 1ish. Everyone made it sound like they would have some left until later in afternoon but based on the hype I'm seeing elsewhere and the fact that there was a line at 8, i highly doubt there is any left by 1. Those people in line at 8 will be back in line right away for more bottles to sell.
