Your Favorite Holiday Beer?

I really think the NEW big three are:

Great lakes Christmas ale
Troegs mad elf
Southern tier 2xmas


We like to sprinkle a lil southern tier old man winter in there too. But these brews now shout Christmas IMO

 

Anchor Christmas Ale, with the caveat they change the recipe every year!

 

I just picked up a bottle of Great Lakes Brewing Christmas ale. Plan to try this then Bells Offering

Love Dark Horse 4-Elf. Also a big fan of Frosted Frog.

 

Agreed. Cold Mountain is definately the best winter warmer available

 

Hibernation and Old Jubilation are my two favorites. But I love New Belgium's Frambozen

 

I was surprised by how delicious 4 calling birds was last year, looking forward to 5 gold rings and bb4cb.

 

I have a case of Troegs Mad Elf in my apartment now. It will get me hammered many times over.

 

I've said before Breckenridge for some odd reason. Still is standing currently.

 

No one does Christmas better then Italia! Birra di Borgo 25 Dodici is EXCELLENT!

 

SN celebration is my number 1 choice. For my second pick, I go with widmer brrr. Brrr doesn't get much love, but I enjoy it.

 

Mad Elf, GL Christmas Ale, ST 2XMas. I also tried Lancaster Brewing Company's Winter Warmer recently and found it to be very tasty, so that is on the list now as well! And they donate a portion of the sales to saving wolves (one of my favorite animals) so a tasty brew + a good cause = a real no brainer for me! ;-)

I am definitely looking forward to trying more Christmas Ales & Winter Warmers this season!

*And yes, I have had SN Celebration and found it to be just okay to me.

Not columbus winter Warmer.

I like anchor Xmas, celebration, sly fox Xmas and I have a sizer of 2xmas in the fridge

St. Bernardus Christmas Ale is pretty amazing, better than the Abt 12 if you ask me.

I also loved He'Brew Jewbalation Sweet Sixteen. Definitely picking up some more of those.

Celebration is a great Seasonal Session beer.

 

Best season for beer by far.
