Saugatuck Peanut Butter Porter. Very nice. Nice head retention/spotty lacing. Flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, peanut butter, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, toasted biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of dark fruit, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Similar/muted aromas. Mild herbal, woody, grassy, peppery, roasted bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/silky/bready malt; light sticky hops and chalky roast in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter dryness; no cloying/acrid/astringency. Very smooth/soft, minimal warming 5.7%. Great balanced rich malts and authentic PB flavors; with mild earthy hops and fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Very well done.
