They have a $29 pitcher option for it too. Haven't bought a pitcher of beer in forever so I have no idea how many oz. that equates to.

Haunted House is $12.99 at Wegman's in Natick. And, yeah, that guy is dumb and wrong.

They asked if I wanted regular or large. I said large. It was 32oz for $14. So I’d imagine $7-8 per pint maybe

Never really perused this thread before but figured it would be the right place to report this - I was scouting a local liquor store for some Mystic beers, thinking they might have a bottle of Entropy stashed away, or anything of theirs given the recent news. It's a well overlooked and well understocked store in Brookline on Beacon Street, but one that used to have a good beer buyer. Whelp, I spied an Oxbow bottle, which isn't so rare these days, but it was just a single and I was surprised that this store had any at all. It was a bottle of Liquid Swords, but I didn't recognize the typeface. Upon closer look, it was bottled in March, 2016!! I've had them all since 2015, but not 2016!!! What a total score!!!!!

There are a bunch of Frost Beer Works offerings at Yankee Spirits in Sturbridge. VT has really started to infiltrate. Fiddlehead, Four Quarters, Foley Brothers, Frost are some of the more notable ones. Who is next? Foam?

Wait, why do they all start with "F"?

Saw a 4 pack of a dark mild (3.4% ABV) from Small Change at Ball Square Liquors and had to grab it even though I was more looking for an Oktoberfest at the time. Never had anything from this brewery before.

It definitely had that sort of thinner, toffee/root beer/brown sugar taste that to my palate separates these from a more rich brown ale sort of thing. My limited experience with the style have been either on cask or on draft at Notch though, and this canned experience wasn't quite up to my hopes, though it was certainly pleasant enough to drink. I'm not sure whether this had more to do with the beer itself or the delivery method, so I'd be curious of others' opinions.

I grabbed a couple four packs a few weeks ago. Mainly because you NEVER see this style in cans/bottles.

It was decent enough during the first cans I got to pick up another four pack. But definitely wasn’t as rich as cask dark milds I’ve had.

But like I said, it was decent, and super low alcohol (I thought it was 3.1%?) so I had no problem finishing that second four pack.

Similar experience here. I was craving the style - really enjoyed the first can or two, but definitely missed the richness that the style can deliver on cask or even on tap.

Pilsner nerds, keep an eye out for Schilling Palmovka Specialni:
Surprisingly hoppy, I found this one really needs to warm up a bit for those malt and yeast aspects to come forward. When they do, it's really on the big and robust end of what you'd consider a pilsner, almost kind of a winter pilsner if that makes sense. Found mine at Crafted in Holliston.

Cool, thanks, I will definitely keep an eye out.

I sampled their Alexander 10° on tap yesterday side by side with Flensburger Pils, and went with the Flensburger Pils.

Overall I like Schilling, but they do some styles better than others. There was nothing particularly wrong with the Alexander, the Flensburger was just better.
