Good to go whenever. Though, if you've never had them I would try them fresh and then keep another for down the road. Bottles have a Best Before date on them that is well into the future, usually 20 years from the bottle date.

This drop of 3f has been more than Chicago has gotten in 5 years total. I was able to get a few bottles, but also laugh at the rush because there are lambics and geuezes on the shelf just as good if not better.

 

That’s the nature of the best. The best beers don’t always get purchased. But let’s not undersell 3F.

 

Boon Black Label is the only thing close to 3F Geuze that's readily available on the shelf. It was a different story a couple of years ago when Tilquin and Girardin Black sat on the shelves, but those days seem to be long gone.

I do like Beersel Oude Kriek and Boon Schaerbeekse Kriek just as much as 3F Oude Kriek so i would agree on the kriek front.

 

3F makes the best unfruited lambics in the world in my opinion, so I'm thrilled with this drop.

In regards to when to drink there is something to be said for waiting. Armand told me to wait at least a year before drinking the A&G bottles I bought at the brewery. Damn I loved that brewery and chatting with Armand....

 

How far out of the city does Do Right distribute?

Ugh, I bought a few krieks, some geuze, one each of the A&G sizes (I love large format wine for parties, so...), and an hommage.

And some antacid tablets.
