What easier way to control the crowds on a release then to spread them thin

 

Guess I picked the perfect weekend to be in FL...

I got there at 1pm and bought 2 sets of the aggies with no problem. The actually dropped the limits right when I got to the front

 

I went with the 9:00 arrival time and it made for one long ass morning. The line was brutal. Then headed over the AC where people cut me in line at the bar and took the last few Peach Dave’s. I’m over beer lines for a few weeks.

 

Just stop all together. Have not waited in a bottle line for almost 2 years... it’s glorious.

Think about it..... you missed out on a 6oz bottle of beer. Not worth the time.

 

They had some for sale still at noon open

 

Meh.... It’s a 6oz bottle of beer.... I find it ridiculous.

 

For what it's worth it was super unique, I can see why people liked it. Personally thought it was super peach forward which I'm not a big fan of, but if that's something you like it's hard to find something like that. Except for the peach brandy BW cigar city put out a few months ago lol

 

Celestial Insurance? Peach brandy barrels then rum barrels. Haven't had but allegedly tasty

 

I had both Celestial Insurance and Dave's Peach on draft and I think I'd give a slight edge to Celestial Insurance although they're both in the top 5 beers I've had this year so far. Might help that CCB gives you an appropriate glass for their barrel aged pours instead of just a standard flight glass

 

They posted that they had about 70 bottles left when the last person left the line on Saturday morning. Buddy was about 50th in line when they opened at noon and got a bottle. It was on draft as well.

you got there at 9 and waited what until noon to get your bottles? 3hrs isnt that big of a deal in the line game. LOL

 

I agree, plus minus the line and the bottle is adult size. I’ll throw out there that the current Ccb ba barleywine in the cooler excessive and lustful kissing is fantastic and maybe the best BW that has been put out since David Humphreys.

I had the peach Dave’s, it’s solid, but pretty standard and I agree with the comment on here that the regular ba Dave’s was probably better. I had a pour at about 1:30 and left after 5 min because the place was packed with people acting like it was the best beer ever and some of the comments I overheard just made me remember why I didn’t wait in line for a 6oz bottle and how happy I was for making that choice. Not judging those that did but so happy to have moved on from the chase.

 

The quality, availability, and volume of releases from CCB and Cycle have basically completely pushed me out of "the chase". I'm not standing in line to buy worse beers at Hidden Springs because they're rarer.

I was there at 12:15ish, so I more than likely was in that line with your buddy. When I entered the bar area there were about 15ish bottles left. And slowly one at a time douche bags kept cutting. Its no big deal. I got my crowler and left. There is always more beer.
